Alec Baldwin Added to Star-Studded Pic My Sister's Keeper

Dramatic flick "My Sister's Keeper" has another Hollywood's household name in its cast lineup. Variety has brought a report informing "30 Rock" star Alec Baldwin is boarding the project, which celebrity sisters Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning are toplining.

Here the Oscar-nominated actor will portray an attorney representing Elle Fanning's character after she decides to sue her parents for emancipation. The suit was based on the grounds that she was bred as a genetic match who could prolong the life of her cancer-ridden sister, played by Dakota Fanning.

Milo Ventimiglia to Play in 'Game' and 'Chaos Theory'

Milo Ventimiglia is involved in the production of Gerard Butler's new movie as well as Ryan Reynolds' romantic comedy movie. According to Entertainment Weekly, the 'Heroes' star has revealed that he is to star in "Game" and "Chaos Theory".

To EW.com, Ventimiglia talked about his new project saying, "I'm doing two features before Christmas. One is called Game, and that's with Gerard Butler and Amber Valletta. It's written and directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the same guys who did Pathology, the movie I have coming out in the spring...And then I'm doing an independent film called Chaos Theory about a guy who leads a very organized life, and someone comes into that life and just sets a downward spiral in motion."

Destiny's Child Inspired by Spice Girls to Reunite

Many speculations may have been laid out regarding Destiny's Child reunion but none is as close to this. Member Kelly Rowland has revealed her desire to reform with ex-bandmates Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams (II) and will talk about it over Christmas dinner.

One of the reasons that prompted Rowland to want a reunion with the group is Spice Girls. "This current spate of reunions has given us ideas," Rowland said. "Despite what people say we are all still really close." Spice Girls released a Greatest hits in November and launched a reunion tour that kicked off December 2.

Stars Being Signed for New Thriller Boy in the Box

Rounding out acting talents to fill in the cast of their new thriller "The Boy in the Box", A2 Entertainment Group and Code Entertainment have picked up Hollywood names like Rhona Mitra, Josh Lucas, and James Van Der Beek to lead the lineup, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Joined the threesome are Jon Hamm, Jimmy Bennett, Jessica Chastain, and Marcus Thomas, the latest most recently appeared in John Dahl's comedy "You Kill Me." All have been confirmed to come under the direction of first-time helmer Anders Anderson.

The pair had been laid on the same sheet when John lent his 1970 single, 'Your Song' for Luhrmann's Oscar-winning film, 'Moulin Rouge!' (2001).

DFW Film Critics Association Named No Country 2007 Best Film

It was no longer a surprise that "No Country for Old Men" is the movie critics' favorite. After being awarded four kudos by the SEFCA, the movie written by the Coen brothers once again received three prizes from Critics on Monday, December 17.

This time, "No Country" was hailed as the 2007 Best Picture by the Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics Association. Its directors, Joel and Ethan Coen, and particular cast member, Javier Bardem, each won Best Director and Best Supporting Actors awards.

Casey Calvert of the band Hawthorne Heights died of accidental mixture of medications, it has been confirmed.

The guitarist, according to the results of an autopsy released Monday, December 17 by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Washington DC, died due to the "acute combined effects of opiate, citalopram and clonazepam intoxication."

Jim Jones and Styles P to Release a Joint Record

Rapper Jim Jones has announced that he will team up with fellow New Yorker, Styles P, for an album that is coming out via Koch Records. In an interview with radio host Tim Westwood on BBC's 1Xtra, Jones revealed the they got "some fire".

"Good music, good NYC music, something they haven't heard in a minute," Jones said. "Music is everywhere nowadays but New York set the precedent and we gotta get back to that. Its gonna be a good event, me and P."

Winners of the 12th annual Satellite Awards have been unveiled. With teen pregnancy drama "Juno" earned the most honors in the Motion Picture category, Showtime Networks' "Dexter" was the biggest winner for the TV category.

The popular drama series nabbed three awards all at once, they were Television Series, Drama; Actor in a Series Drama which went to Michael C. Hall; and Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for David Zayas.

SEFCA Hailed No Country Best Picture of 2007

"No Country for Old Men" once more proved that it is one of Film Critics' 2007 favorite movies as it became huge awards winner. On Monday, December 17, the adventure drama movie has been announced by the Southeastern Film Critics Association to be the four kudos winner.

It took the number one spot in the category of Best Picture beating out another nine other top ten films, including the top five movies "There Will Be Blood", "Atonement", "Juno" and "Michael Clayton". Additionally, the top ten movie list was made by the panel of over 40 film journalists representing the Southeastern's print media of USA.

Possibly taking advantage from the commercial success of Will Smith's recently-released vehicle "I Am Legend", Columbia Pictures has launched online a teaser trailer for its upcoming flick "Hancock", which the actor is also toplining.

Coming in at just a little over one and a half minutes, the teaser does insert some shots that seemingly indicate the movie to be rather a comedy than action feature. In the meantime, it also includes footage which boasts special effects used in the movie as the titular character shows off his super power.
