Black Eyed Peas to Aid Disadvantaged South African

Black Eyed Peas has a very deep concern about their society and approvingly brings it into life when they on Friday May 26th, 2006 in Johannesburg announced that they would be working to aid disadvantaged South Africans through their charity, the Peapod Foundation.

The music group is planning to spend Friday and Saturday visiting poverty-stricken townships outside Johannesburg, participating in workshops with children and meeting fans. And the next day, Sunday, the will play a benefit concert in the city.

Jessica Simpson, Nick Lachey, and Kristin Cavallari. What is going on with them? Following rumors linked Kristin to Nick, recent issue on the street mentions that the former Laguna Beach star is being considered to take over Jessica's movie role.

The report sparked was prompted with a statement made by the producer of last year's "The Dukes of Hazzard," Bill Gerber who tells People magazine in its new issue that he is working on a prequel to the movie and considers Kristin as just perfect to fill out those Daisy Duke shorts.

The 51st Ivor Novello Music Awards Winners

Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall hit hard this time as she nabbed the prize for Best Song on Thursday May 25th, 2006 at the 51st Ivor Novello Awards for her 2005 hit "Suddenly I See." Meanwhile, fellow musician James Blunt won big with two awards all at once, namely The Most Performed Song and International Hit of the Year for his "You're Beautiful".

As for Best Album category, the award went to "Employment" from Kaiser Chiefs. In addition to those winners, there were also Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett of cartoon band Gorillaz who both were named Songwriters of the Year. It's A Boy for Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale

Gwen Stefani is a mother. The singer has on Friday May 26th, 2006 gave birth to a baby boy he and husband Gavin Rossdale named Kingston James McGregor Rossdale.

The baby, born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, weighed in at seven pounds, eight ounces. Further report mentions that the newly born was delivered by C-section, with both mother and child were said to be doing well.

Sting Plans to Release A New Album in October

Was given a lute as a gift, Sting then was inspired to create an album of lute music. And after such work hard in the studio, the singer will have his new album released in October later this year.

The as-yet untitled set, a disc full of 16th century music performed on the lute, reportedly will be issued on the classical label Deutsche Grammophon. "It's a strange record, a delightful record and I think people will be intrigued by it," Sting says about the new album while adding "The album is voice and lute, there are a few four part harmonies that I sing and it's all music from the 16th century."
