Nicole Kidman Isn't Getting Married to Keith Urban

Aside from the long circulating rumors mention that Nicole Kidman is going to tie the knot with Keith Urban, the Aussie actress insists those reports as false.

And commented on the latest news mentioned that the couple has sent out invitations for a wedding held on March 11 in Sydney, Kidman's publicist Wendy Day said, "Everything about that story is nonsense."

Bono Received Chile's Highest Award for the Arts

Shortly after receiving the Amnesty International's 2005 "Ambassador of Conscience" award, U2 frontman Bono got more in his pocket. The star has been given the Neruda Award, which is Chile's highest award for the arts.

Handed the award to Bono on Sunday Feb 26th, 2006 was the country's President Ricardo Lagos who at the same time also told him he should learn to play the traditional Andean instrument known as the "charango" besides presented Bono with the stuff.

U2 Honored with Amnesty International Award

Irish rock band U2 has added another award to their collection as they were named Amnesty International Ambassadors of Conscience for 2005 on Sunday Feb 26th in Chile's national stadium.

Band members Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen, as well as their manager, Paul McGuinness are all honored for using their music and celebrity to champion human rights causes for more than two decades.

Singer George Michael in Drug Arrest

George Michael stumbles upon a new problem after another. The singer was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning Feb 26th on suspicion of possessing drugs after he was discovered slumped at the wheel of his car in central London.

"We were called by a member of the public to a man seen slumped over the steering wheel of a car on the street close to Hyde Park Corner," a Metropolitan Police spokesman said. While wasn't suffering from any injuries, police then attended and spoke to Michael.

Surviving Alice In Chains Are Hitting the Road

It's been so long that Alice In Chains doesn't embark on a tour since their last with late frontman Layne Staley in 1996. Since then the rest members of the group only go on stage once that was at a February 2005 tsunami benefit show in Seattle.

And now, the surviving members of the grunge rock band are planning to hit the road this summer. Group members, which include guitarist Jerry Cantrell, bassist Mike Inez and drummer Sean Kinney, will all perform together at the Nova Rock Festival in Austria on June 28.

UK Top 10 Singles

Madonna apparently really deserves the predicate of pop queen. The singer has had her "Sorry" debuted in the top spot of UK singles chart on Sunday, marking her 12th British number one. In second place is Corinne Bailey Rae whose "Put Your Records On" pushes aside last week's chart topper DJ Meck's "Thunder In My Heart" into 3rd.

Debuted in 4th spot is Irish boy band Westlife's "Amazing", while the No. 5 seat is secured by Notorious B.I.G.'s "Nasty Girl" which falls from No. 2. In the meantime, Ordinary Boys falls three places to No. 6 with "Boys Will Be Boys," followed behind at No. 7 by Chris Brown's "Run It." "Is It Just Me" by The Darkness only debuts at No. 8, while "You Got The Love" by Source is at 9th and "Sugar We're Goin' Down" by Fall Out Boy stays at No. 10.

Top-Grossing Weekend Films

Madea's Family Reunion picture
Sold an estimated $30.3 million worth of tickets in its first three days since opening on Friday is such amount enough to bring "Madea's Family Reunion" to the top position of North America box office. The movie, which is of comedy drama genre, pushes aside last week champion "Eight Below" to 2nd place with $15.7 million.

Remaining in 3rd place in its third week with $11.3 million is "The Pink Panther", which soon followed by "Date Movie" at No. 4 and "Curious George" at No. 5. Meanwhile, the 6th position is secured by action drama thriller "Firewall" which taking in another $6.2 million. "Final Destination 3" is at No. 7 with just $5.3 million, and "Doogal" is at No. 8 with $3.6 million. Rounding out the Top 10 is "Running Scared" at No. 9 and "Freedomland" at 10th.

List of the 37th NAACP Image Awards Winners

Jamie Foxx hard work to embark on a new career in music industry finally is paid off as he gloriously wins the 37th NAACP Image Awards, named the Best Musical Artist. Accepted the prize at the event held in Los Angeles, he said "It's good to be surrounded by black folks. Black folks are music."

Still for music category, Chris Brown has been named New Artist, and Alicia Keys is named Female Artist. For Duo or Group it is Destiny's Child who brings the prize. Aside, for motion picture category, Oscar nominee "Crash" takes the Best Film award. Samuel L. Jackson wins the Best Actor award for "Coach Carter," while Kimberly Elise is the Best Actress for "Diary of a Mad Black Woman".

A Small Stretch of Road Renamed to Honor Korn

"Korn Row" that's how the small stretch of road near Bakersfield, California's Rabobank Arena is now called. The access road to the arena has been renamed to honor hometown Grammy-winning rock group Korn.

There you can see a road sign read "Korn Row" with the "R" in Korn is flipped backward, mimicking the rock group's logo. Concerning their music achievement and dedication to their hometown, Korn certainly deserves it.

Socialite, model and designer Nicky Hilton unveiled her new upscale fashion line at a show in Las Vegas on early Friday Feb 24th, 2006. The Nicky Hilton Beverly Hills collection actually is the sequel to the hotel heiress tween-targeted casual wear line called "Chick" that was launched in 2004.

Speaking about her new collections Nicky said those are "clothes my friends and I could wear." Further she said that her designs will sell for far less than what she and her friends could afford to pay.

Crow Heading Recovery from Breast Cancer Surgery

These days are really hard to pass for Sheryl Crow. Shortly after her broken engagement to former fiance Lance Armstrong, the beauty sadly has to undergo breast cancer surgery. That's according to the confirmation released via her web site.

News of Crow's cancer battle was broken Friday on her Website and confirmed by her publicist, Dave Tomberlin, who announced the singer-songwriter underwent successful surgery in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Since she's still heading toward a full recovery from the surgery, Crow would have to postpone her North American tour, which was scheduled for March and April.
