Matt Damon & Luciana Barroso Expecting Child

Celebrity couple, Matt Damon and fiancee Luciana Barroso, is expecting their first child together. Barroso reportedly is three months pregnant.

This good news comes to the surface just one week after Damon revealed his desire to be a strong father figure. "I have longed for (kids) in real life, anyway. I just have to learn how to be a disciplinarian. Now I'm good at winding kids up, but I'm not so good at chilling them out." So he said at that time.

Stars to Host the Golden Globe Awards Nominations

As the awards season is coming, many are busy welcoming the annual celebration. As of British actress Kate Beckinsale, she has been tapped to host the 2006 Golden Globe Awards Nominations announcement alongside pals Mark Wahlberg and funnyman Steve Carell.

The threesome will have to wake up early to read out the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's picks for US film and TV honors next week. To notice, the 63rd annual Golden Globe Awards will be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 16.

Barrymore Targeting A Role in "He Loves Me"

Drew Barrymore wanting for more. The actress is eyeing a starring role in the upcoming thriller "He Loves Me." In the meantime, Warner Bros. Pictures already bought the Joyce Brotman's spec script for Barrymore's Flower Films to produce.

While the plot of the film remains undisclosed, Barrymore and Nancy Juvonen, her partner at Flower Films, are about to take the producer seat.

Paramount Pictures Acquires Rex Mex Script

News circulating in entertainment industry mentions that Paramount Pictures has acquired Shawn Patrick's script "Rex Mex." While it does so, David O. Russell and Jason Blum are about to produce.

Pirates of the Caribbean 3 on Work

Here we bring you exclusive news about the third installment of "Pirates of the Caribbean." While the film is still on work under the direction of Gore Verbinski, the industry crew magazine Below The Line reveals the film title which is about to be "Pirates of the Caribbean: Uncharted Waters."

Rapper Snoop Dogg Named Exec Producer

XM Satellite Radio has, on Thursday Dec 8, announced rapper Snoop Dogg as the executive producer of XM's classic hip-hop channel, the Rhyme, the channel that has been the home of an exclusive Snoop Dogg radio show.

"I will play music that people have never heard and music that they haven't heard in a long time," said the musician commenting on his naming as exec producer of the related channel.

Wilmer Valderrama, "That '70s Show" star, is set to play California Highway Patrol officer Frank Poncherello, a.k.a. "Ponch," in the upcoming "ChiPs," the big-screen version of the TV series of the same name.

AS it is reported by Variety, Timur Bekmambetov has agreed to helm an English-lingo pic, Universal's "Wanted(2007)."

Based on a comic book series by Mark Millar, the drama action genre centers on a nebbishy white-collar worker who discovers his father is the world's most evil super villain. After his dad is murdered, the son is recruited into a covert organization and trained to take up his father's legacy.

Agassi & Graf to Become Co-Owners of A Hotel

Tennis greats Andre Agassi and wife Steffi Graf are reported to become co-owners of a hotel, which will be located in Idaho Mountain, and will be, of course, a luxury hotel. Seeking an activity that will obviously keep her busy while her tennis career is over, Graff is quite happy with her new project. She even thrilled with the location, saying "We couldn't have picked a better spot."

In the meantime, Agassi reportedly is concerned an ankle injury may force him to miss next month's Australian Open - while he has also decided to miss the French Open in 2006. The 35-year-old tennis player sprained his left ankle while playing racquetball about eight weeks ago. He then reinjured it while losing his first match in Shanghai on November 14 before withdrawing from the Tennis Masters Cup.

The Hollywood Reporter comes up with news mentioned that actress Sarah Michelle Gellar has signed on to reprise her role in the horror sequel "The Grudge 2" for Columbia Pictures and Ghost House Pictures. The drama horror mystery flick will see Gellar reprise her role as an American exchange student who came in contact with the ghostly force while serving as a caretaker to a woman in a haunted house.

With professionals include in the film making, like director Takashi Shimizu, scribe Stephen Susco and producers Sam Raimi, Robert Tapert and Taka Ichise, "The Grudge 2" is slated to hit theaters on October 20th, 2006.

The Name of Stewart & Lancaster's Newborn Son

What's new on the street? It's about Rod Stewart and fiancee Penny Lancaster. The happy couple who has just welcomed their son finally comes up with the name of their newborn. Alistair Wallace Stewart that's how they call the baby.

Explaining on the chosen name Lancaster says that the Christian name Alastair was chosen because of its Scottish roots and Wallace after her grandfather, who died in a road accident in 2003. Apparently, the baby's name is the same with that of popular British newsreader Alistair Stewart, who currently hosts nightly news show London Tonight.

Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt would in the near future get busier as he and some pals are eyeing new business. The actor along with George Clooney and an airplane finance tycoon, Steven F. Udvar-Hazy, are reported to have planned to buy one of the best-known gay bars from Laguna Beach before then planning to turn it into a ritzy restaurant and bed and breakfast.

Planned to buy both bars, which is now named "Boom Boom Room," and its adjoining Coast Inn on Pacific Coast Highway, the three of them are about to develop a full chain of bed and breakfast getaways, which are to bear their names. Speaking on their working together, Clooney commented "The thing I'm most proud of in my life is this group of friends. It's not some sort of groovy clique. We're real good friends. After 25 years together, there's this incredible ease to it."

Klum's Project Runway Sued Again

Heidi Klum is facing another lawsuit which is still about her latest work, Project Runway, the reality show she hosts on Bravo. It's New York-based designers Cynthia Rodriguez and Elizabeth Marie Anne Zwiebach who filed the suit, claiming they've pitched a 40-page outline of a reality show called American Runway to Klum's agents in 2003 and expressed their interest in developing the project.

Further they revealed to have registered and copyrighted their work with the Writers Guild of America in March 2003 and apparently Project Runway is "strikingly similar" to their original concept. Thus, Cynthia and Elizabeth name the likes of Klum, Disney, Disney's Miramax Film Corp. unit, Miramax founders Harvey and Robert Weinstein, their new venture Weinstein Co. and NBC Universal as defendants in the lawsuit.

With her comeback album, tentatively titled "The Emancipation of Mimi," pop diva Mariah Carey slowly but sure would repeat her world success in the music scene which is apparent as she gains 8 nominations for the 2005 Grammy Awards, which actual event scheduled for Los Angeles on Feb. 8 and will be broadcast on CBS.

The 8 nominations that Carey gets among others include Album of the Year and Record of the Year. Though, she isn't the only big nominee for the prestigious event, there are also John Legend and Kanye West who both earns 8 nominations as well. 50 Cent, Beyonce Knowles, Will.i.am, and Stevie Wonder are those who get 6 nominations. Also there are Missy Elliott, Alicia Keys, Bruce Springsteen, Gwen Stefani and U2 with 5 nominations.
