Culkin Pleads Guilty to Drug Possession

Wednesday, former child actor Macaulay Culkin was pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of possession of medication without a prescription and marijuana. The charges stemming from Culkin's September 17 detention after Oklahoma City police stopped his car and later found over a half-ounce of marijuana and several tablets of Xanax, a prescription medication used to treat depression and panic disorders.

Entered the appeal during a brief hearing, Culkin was given a 1-year adjourned sentence on each of the charges and assessed a total of $940 in fees.

"Simpsons" is in Preproduction

Fans, are you ready for the upcoming "Simpson"? Better prepare yourself 'coz the movie is off the drawing board and in pre-production.

Nancy Cartwright, who gives voice to Bart Simpson, told BBC Radio 1 this week "You know what? We've just done the table read for The Simpsons movie, so although we've been promoting that we're going to do it, now we're actually doing it and are in production."

Velvet Revolver in Jeopardy???

They have "family obligations" and album "pre-production work" to be done so that they have to, reluctantly, cut short their European tour Tuesday. More or less, that's what rock band Velvet Tour spokeswoman Kristine Ashton-Magnuson said in clearing the rumors claim the band's split.

In fact, a newspaper and television station in Finland reported that the band had split. This then raises questions on the band's future, which is soon answered by Kristine "The band has not broken up. In fact, they're coming back to the U.S. early to start the next record."

Aretha Franklin Wants to Take the Day Off

Aretha Franklin wants to take the day off. No matter what she seems to really need the break so that she has to cancel her concert in North Carolina, for which she's been scheduled to go on stage this week in New Jersey.

Due to that fact, Franklin herself refused to reschedule the Cary show for August, instead of next year rescheduling. Commenting on the cancellation, House of Blues' vice president of Southeast concerts Jim Mallonee claimed Franklin's reason "...is just bizarre."

"Mission: Impossible 3" Moves A-head

Through hard days of speculation due to its swelling budget, Paramount Pictures chairman and chief executive officer Brad Grey finally turned on the green light for "Mission : Impossible 3" to start filming July 18 in Italy.

The long awaited movie will be directed by J.J. Abrams, who joined the project last August, and will be produced by Tom Cruise and partner, Paula Wagner. Will feature on the flick among others Cruise and co-stars Ving Rhames, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Michelle Monaghan and Philip Seymour Hoffman. It is slated to be released on May 5, 2006.

"Material Girls" Releases "Lotsa de Casha"

Madonna's first four children books have obviously gained success and here comes the fifth, which is also the final. Titled "Lotsa de Casha," the book is written for readers ages 6 and up. Inside it tells the story of the richest man in the world, who loses everything but gains a friend.

Over all, the book tells the message that money, somehow, can't buy happiness. Founder and chief executive officer of Callaway Arts & Entertainment, Nicholas Callaway, announced the book's publication Tuesday.

The Emancipation of A Diva

Has been back with her new album, Mariah Carey proves her emancipation. After being debuted at number one in April, the singer's "Emancipation" again returns to the top of the Billboard 200 album chart, moving 172,000 copies last week. This achievement obviously strengthen the power of Carey, whose "Emancipation has been no lower than number three on the charts since its release.

On the 2nd of the Top 10 list is System of a Down's "Mezmerize," which soon followed by Audioslave's "Out of Exile" at 3rd and Toby Keith's "Honkytonk University" at 4th. "Love, Angel, Music, Baby" by Gwen Stefani seats at 5th, while Common's "Be" at 6th. The 7th to 10th in sequence is; "Stand Up" by Dave Matthews Band, 50 Cent's "The Massacre," Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway," and "Il Divo" by Il Divo.
