Melissa Whish claimed her client Bobby Brown had a virus so that he couldn't attend court for a child support hearing in Canton, Massachusetts, concerning allegations he failed to pay educational support costs for LaPrincia (14) and Bobby Jr. (10), his two children with former lover Kim Ward.

Though, court register Patrick McDermott didn't receive any evidence of Brown's ill health and hence issued an arrest warrant for the disgraced singer.

Alex Zivojinovich of the band Rush, along with son Justin Zivojinovich and daughter-in-law Michelle, filed lawsuit against the Ritz-Carlton, its security director and three sheriff's deputies Thursday in U.S. District Court. The three of them try seeking an unspecified amount of monetary damages for injuries, pain and suffering, mental anguish and the costs of their defense in criminal cases.

As for the beginning of the case, it was all stemming from a New Year's Eve 2003 altercation at the Naples hotel when Justin and his companions agitated hotel security as they got up on a platform when the house band was taking a break at a party to ring in 2004. Soon thereafter, as mentioned in the lawsuit, deputies who responded to a call by hotel security "applied illegal and unjustified force, and such force was excessive," causing Justin "severe discomfort and pain."

Citing irreconcilable differences, veteran British rocker Rod Stewart filed for divorce from wife actress Rachel Hunter, whom he married in 1990 and has mothered his two children, Liam (12) and Rene (10). The court documents have been filed Thursday.

Former "Seinfeld" star Julia Louis-Dreyfus has been reported to play in a new CBS sitcom "Old Christine," which is on the network's midseason agenda. There, Julia will play its title role, a divorced mother and owner of a women's 30-minute-workout gym who has to compete with her ex-husband's new young girlfriend, whose name also Christine. So far, no other cast members have been announced.

Commenting on his becoming a new man and his coming back as Wilco frontman, Tweedy commented "I'm enjoying everything a lot more than I probably have most of my life. Though modern technology can help you a lot, it would sometimes also endanger your "life." One of the modern technology misuse victims is band Coldplay. The music group has been put in jeopardy after their new album "X&Y" leaked online just days before its official U.S. and U.K. release.

The Internet jacking has obviously shocked either Coldplay or their label, EMI/Capitol, who all so concerned about keeping the disc from appearing online by sending out limited, watermarked review discs for select journalists under a false name and allowed other music critics to review the album by setting up listening rooms in the corporate offices in London, Los Angeles and New York with iPods in locked cabinets.
