Brosnan's $42 Million Price for Bond

Actor Pierce Brosnan wont play the superspy James Bond for a fifth time because the upcoming 21st Bond blockbuster Casino Royale producers have refused to accept his $42 million demand to play the role. That's why they are now planning to find another actor to play the 007 agent role.

Commenting on the producers refusal, Brosnan admits to be "surprised, disappointed and saddened" of the decision because he feels such amount is worth for the many blood and sweat he put into the role. Yet, Peter Bart, industry magazine Variety's editor-in-chief says Brosnan "priced himself out of the market" with a reported "compensation package" that "would total north of $40 million".

Vaughn and Aniston are Just Friends

Maybe annoyed by the media publication on his relationship with Jennifer Aniston, Vince Vaughn soon confirms that they are just friends, no more.

Commenting further on the possibility of they're getting involved in romance, Vaughn insists that his meeting with the beauty at the Posh Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel on February 2, 2005 is purely a business meeting. Nothing personal!!!

Alanis Morissette Gets US Citizenship

Has gone south for the winter, Canadian singer Alanis Morissette has gained her US citizenship along with 4,500 others at a ceremony in Los Angeles last week.

The citizenship is, indeed, very useful for Morissette, who used to face the difficulty to travel, that it makes her travels over borders much more easily.

Pitt's Confusing Love Journey

After the photos showed their being together, Us Weekly has just now publised a story quoted Florio as saying "he tried to kiss me" while he was still with Aniston. Yet, she refused him because she did not want to get involved with someone married.

The story then emerged public opinion that Pitt had cheated on Jennifer Aniston. Florio's manager, Anthony Messina, on the other hand, insisted that Florio had been quoted incorrectly and that the article was wholly false. He issued a statement lamenting "journalists who lack credibility," which didn't affect much anyway as Us Weekly publicist, Claudia DiRomualdo, said that the magazine will stand by its story.

Lopez Cancels European Tour

Jennifer Lopez says on Febryary 16, 2005 that she has to cancel her European tour for upcoming album release "Rebirth" and her latest film, Shall We Dance, where she plays along Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon. Denying public rumors that claim her to suffer from a very serious illness, Lopez says that its only her ears are clogged that her doctor then told her not to fly.

Following the delay, Lopez, through her spokeswoman Michele Schweitzer, asks for an apology and promises for a soon reschedulling European album tour.

Stallone's "The Contender" Show

Sylvester Stallone's upcoming reality TV boxing show "The Contender" suffers a severe blow a month before its debut in America because Najai Turpin, one of its boxer contestants has found dead in his home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on February 14, 2005.

Stallone and "The Contender" co-creator, Mark Burnett, do not want to comment further on Najai Turpin death. Yet, Burnett promises not to edit the boxer scenes out of the show, rather there will be a pay tribute to him with a written message after one of the upcoming programs.

P. Diddy's Autobiography Procrastination Problem

Publisher Random House Inc accuses rapper P. Diddy for not paying a $300,000 advance for the autobiography he never completed. In lawsuit filed on Monday at the state Supreme Court in Manhattan, New York, Random House Inc accuses P.Diddy and his corporation, Bad Boy, for "corrupting" other's money. By means of which P. Diddy had never completed or even wrote the autobiography which he, based on the agreement signed with the publisher Ballantine imprint in 1998, agreed to complete and deliver to the publisher in 1999.

After waiting for over 5 years, the publisher still doesn't get the manuscript or the return of the money they advanced P. Diddy. Won't wait any longer, the publisher then sends the case to court demanding the advance's return, plus interest from the rapper and his corporation. Commenting on the allegation, P. Diddy's publicist, Rob Shuter, says that his client would like to quickly solve it without litigation.

Kid Rock on Assault Charges

Wednesday February 16, 2005, rapper Kid Rock was put in jail by Nashville police on charges of punching, Jay Campos, a disc jockey at Nashville local strip club, Christie's Cabaret. A witness said the incident began when the star who at first spoke to someone in the audience demanded an apology from Campos whom he believed had insulted his friend.

Camposed refused to do so and Rock hit him in the face for two times and soon left the club before a few hours later police could finally caught him at an apartment where he'd been staying. Thus, Rock was then charged on simple assault, a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail. After hearing the charges against him, Rock then made the $3,000 bail with arraignment set for March 30, 2005.
