'2012' Crashes Into Los Angeles for Premiere
November 04, 2009 02:11:56Two weeks shy of its theatrical debut in the U.S., "2012 (2009)" went to downtown Los Angeles for its premiere. On Tuesday, November 3, black carpet was rolled out and a scene of destruction complete with a car crashing through a wall was built up in front of Regal Cinemas LA Live to greet the oncoming celebrities.
Many of the cast members were seen joining the festivity on the special evening. Amanda Peet, John Cusack, Thandie Newton, Woody Harrelson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Oliver Platt and Danny Glover were only some of them spotted. Two of its young actors, Liam James and Morgan Lily who played Noah and Lilly Curtis, were present as well.

Giving a first real look into the horror comedy adventure, this promotional video opens to a narration about problems of the Earth, before it continues to welcome audience to a zombieland where living men have to fight the dead for survival.

The lone band of survivors team up in a journey crossing the nation from coast to coast to find the one place they will be safe from the living dead. February 18, 2008 04:02:12"Arrested Development" actor Will Arnett and the co-star of Javier Bardem in "No Country for Old Men" Woody Harrelson have been signed to join Will Ferrell in the sold-out campus tour "Will Ferrell's Funny or Die Comedy Tour" promoting the upcoming sport comedy movie "Semi-Pro".
According to Hollywood Reporter, the two actors will be joining the film's star and comics Zach Galifianakis, Demetri Martin and Nick Swardson for the rest of the eight-venues tour. They will start performing as the tour resumes on February 22 at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill after a short break.

Red Hot Chili Peppers is set to headline Hullabaloo Festival. The band along with other artists such as Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, actor Woody Harrelson and jazz bassist Charlie Haden will appear at Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on May 5.
In its third cycle, the festival is conducted in benefit of Silverlake Conservatory of Music, a school of music co-founded by RHCP's bassist Flea and the school's dean Keith Barry. Part of the tickets sale will be used to aid more than 100 economically weak students by providing them musical instruments and music lessons.

New Line emerges with good news that it has given the green light to the comedy flick "Semi-Pro." That's not all, the studio also gives details on the project, confirming Will Ferrell and Woody Harrelson will both star in.
"Semi-Pro," set in the world of 1970s pro basketball, will be directed by New Line executive VP Kent Alterman. With Scot Armstrong writing the screenplay, shooting is expected to begin early next year.
