Digging deep into the issue, Entertainment Weekly has conducted a search of the people who are rocking the industry's world this year, "the people with ideas - innovative, creative, dangerous, renegade ideas - who are changing the way movies are made." The data, which took three months of constant research, are concluded in its list of 50 Smartest People in Hollywood.
Rounding out the Top 10 of the list are people from different areas of business, ranging from director/writer/producer to actor. Seized the top spot is Judd Apatow, followed close behind by Steven Spielberg and James Cameron, who both ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Taking into account the fact that she's rich, famous and generous, surely people will agree that Oprah Winfrey does deserve the top position on Forbes magazine's "100 Most Powerful Celebrities" annual list. The US talk show queen securing the top spot from Tom Cruise, with an estimated income of $260 million over the past 12 months. She last topped the list in 2005.
Cruise, the world's No. 1 star last year, has to unfortunately drop to No. 8 with his overall paycheck totaling a mere $31 million. That's a bad record for the actor. The 2nd slot on the list is filled by golf ace Tiger Woods who's raking in 100 million dollars this year, making a record an athlete has earned that much in a single year.

"Divorce has its price" and it costs expensive when you're a star. Michael Jordan, Neil Diamond, Steven Spielberg, and Harrison Ford are the obvious examples. A basketball star, Jordan's split from wife of 17 years, Juanita Vanoy Jordan, December last year is the most expensive according to Forbes.com's list of "The 10 Most Expensive Celebrity Divorces."
The pending divorce of the basketball legend could possibly earn the divorcee more than $150 million in a settlement. Diamond, whose 1995 divorce from Marcia Murphey cost him an estimated $150 million, holds second place. Spielberg is the third for his $100 million divorce settlement with first wife Amy Irving. Securing the 4th spot is Ford whose divorce from wife Melissa Mathison cost him an estimated $85 million.
Indiana Jones Filming in 2007

George Lucas, the 62-year-old filmmaker said during a break from preparing for his duties as grand marshal of Monday's Rose Parade that he and Steven Spielberg have recently finalized the script for Indiana Jones 4 and it will begin filming next year.
Although exact film locations have not been decided yet, but Lucas said part of the film will be shot in Los Angeles. The fourth installment of Indiana Jones is scheduled to release in May 2008 with its famous character Indiana still played by Harrison Ford.

The awards, recognize those who have made outstanding contributions to the performing arts in the US, whether through TV, film, music, theater, opera or music, also honored conductor Zubin Mehta who becomes the first person of Indian heritage to receive a Kennedy Center Honor, and Motown star Smokey Robinson.

DreamWorks Pictures is working on dream projects! One of which involves Hollywood's outstanding movie director, Steven Spielberg.
Through its CEO, Stacey Snider, DreamWorks stated that Spielberg is targeted to direct new screenplays, after his 2005 "War of the Worlds" and "Munich". The next queuing project for him is the sequel of the legendary "Indiana Jones 4". This new lining up project will be under George Lucas' Lucasfilm and Paramount Pictures's financing. The script is penned by David Koepp and scheduled to be ready in the following three months, at the most.

The brilliant movie-director seems to find himself fond of the quest for outer space. Steven Spielberg is now on his way to direct new sci-fi movie, with Lynda Obst as the producer. This time, the story goes with a group of space traveler having their journey through the wormhole and another dimension.
The intriguing point of this movie is that Spielberg based the story on the controversial wormholes theory by a Caltech physicist whose expertise is in relativity, Kip S. Thorne. The theory itself explains the possibility of existence of the wormholes and its accessibility to be a time-travel portal. It does sound promising and challenging for the highly imaginative Spielberg.

Along with Spielberg is author Philip K. Dick, who also considered as one of the experts deserve for the honor. The late Dick joins other Science Fiction Hall of Fame authors Isaac Asimov and Jules Verne.

Weighing Henderson's dreams to write and make movies, the director offered her a six-week internship on the next movie he's going to direct in 2006.
