Shania Twain Set to Marry Her Husband's Mistress' Ex
August 28, 2009 03:08:35Rumor has it, Shania Twain will wed Frederic Thiebaud, the ex-husband of her former best friend Marie-Anne, who has an affair with her husband Robert John "Mutt" Lange. Star Magazine is the first to report the story, claiming Shania and Frederic have been spotted sporting matching promise rings while spending some quality time at her secluded cottage of Lake of Bays in the Muskoka region of Ontario recently.
Shania and Frederic, according to a source, "have been discussing wedding plans all summer and hope to tie the knot next year." Another insider chimes in, "Frederic's the only person Shania trusts outside of her family. She feels so lucky to have found him." In the meantime, no possible wedding date and venue have been shared with the press just yet.
Shania Twain Visiting 'American Idol' as Guest Judge
August 18, 2009 01:08:29"American Idol" is adding a spice of country music to the judging panel. Shania Twain is confirmed to be a guest judge in the Chicago round auditions held on August 30 and 31. She will sit next to Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi to filter those with the potential to be an Idol.
Shania is the latest female guest invited to the reality series to fill in the vacant spot left by Paula Abdul. Victoria Adams aka Posh Spice was the first to get the guest seat last week, helping the three regular judges to select a few hopefuls in Boston auditions. Mary J. Blige joined the relay by auditioning in Atlanta on August 16 and 17.

A spokesman for the songbird confirmed to People, "Shania Twain and her husband, music producer Robert 'Mutt' Lange, are separating after 14 years of marriage."
The representative went on adding, "This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time." No further details about the couple's breakup though.

Dubbed, "Shania Starlight," the scent is developed by Coty and described as an evening fragrance that captures Shania's glamorous and sensuous side, while is said to contain notes of freesia and mandarin with touches of jasmine.

Christian artist Amy Grant has been slated to receive Hollywood Star. And so, the singer will become the first ever artist from the Christian music community to receive a star of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
It is reported that Amy will receive the honor September 19th later this year, coincide with the release of the star's first live album in 25 year titled "Time Again ... Amy Grant Live" which is slated to hit the market on September 26th.

The recent poll, released Friday June 30th, has Faith Hill on the very top position with the article saying "To thousands of fans, Faith embodies the ideal woman who really `has it all', classic beauty, a superstar career, a great marriage to Tim McGraw and three lovely daughters. Shania Twain Honored Order of Canada

Hailed for her efforts in eliminating child hunger, including support of several food distribution agencies, Shania was said to have enjoyed "enormous success, yet she remains true to her roots."
"I was surprised, and I was very humbled," Shania said. "I'm not sure it's somewhere I belonged. I'm not even sure I'm quite deserving." Well, it's clear already that she really deserves the honor.
The Shoes Thrown Away by Twain

"Shoes," which is produced by husband, Robert John "Mutt" Lange, is the debut single from a September 20 Hollywood Records soundtrack featuring music inspired by the hit ABC series "Desperate Housewives."
"It's upbeat, playful and from a female point of view," so said compilation supervisor Mitchell Leib. Several covers featured on the work among others include the Indigo Girls' "Mrs. Robinson," Joss Stone's "Treat Me Right" and Anna Nalick's "Band of Gold," all of which haven't been confirmed to be featured in the series. Moreover, Twain also is targeting a forthcoming pop remix that will target adult contemporary (AC) and modern AC stations.
Shania Fits the "Shoes"

Since it does so, the single will lead the album "Music From and Inspired by Desperate Housewives," due September 20 via Disney's Hollywood Records. Alongside the album, there will be an accompanying video featuring Twain alongside "Desperate Housewives" casts Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman and Marcia Cross.
As for its content, the album presents a host of previously unreleased covers, including the Indigo Girls' version of Simon & Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson," Liz Phair's version on The Rolling Stones' "Mother's Little Helper," Gloria Estefan's recasting of the Candi Staton-popularized "Young Hearts Run Free" and Martina McBride's cover of the Tom T.
