'Harry Potter' Stars Go to New York for 'Half-Blood Prince' U.S. Premiere
July 10, 2009 03:07:10Two days after a stormy world premiere in London, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" stopped by the famed Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City for a U.S. premiere. Attending the special screening event held specifically on Thursday, July 9, its cast and crew were greeted by blue skies and rabid fans.
Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Bonnie Wright and Rupert Grint all came out for the star-studded premiere. But, they weren't the only cast members coming. Alan Rickman, Michael Gambon, Tom Felton, Warwick Davis and Freddie Stroma were also spotted joining the celebration.
Rupert Grint Says Swine Flu Is Just Like Any Other Flu
July 08, 2009 04:07:55Feeling much better after recovering from swine flu, Rupert Grint was seen attending the world premiere of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" in London on Tuesday, July 7, during when he discussed about the disease. During the star-studded event, he told reporters, "It was quite scary the first time I heard, 'swine flu', because of what has been in the press. I thought, 'Am I going to die?!' But it was honestly fine, it was just a bit of a sore throat." He then quickly added, "It was just like any other flu I have had before. It was just a sore throat and I was in bed for a while."
Last week, Rupert had his publicist confirming that he contracted swine flu, which forced him to take some time off from the filming of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", which was shooting in Britain. "It has just been confirmed that Rupert Grint has taken a few days out of filming due to a mild bout of swine flu," said the publicist. "He has now recovered and is looking forward to joining his fellow cast members at the junket and premieres this week and will then return to filming directly afterwards." Though so, the publicist confirmed that Rupert's doctor has determined the actor was not contagious, adding the filming of "Deathly Hallows" was not disrupted by Rupert's absence.
'Harry Potter' Returns to London for 'Half-Blood Prince' World Premiere
July 08, 2009 10:07:31Ending a two-year wait for its July release, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" finally held its world premiere on Tuesday, July 7, in the United Kingdom. The red carpet event took place at Odeon Leicester Square, London, and despite the heavy downpours and hailstorms, it was flocked with thousands of "Harry Potter" fans.
Also undeterred by the bad weather were the film's cast which among whom included the trio of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. Coming to the special screening, Daniel wore stylish gray suit with pink shirt underneath, Emma was dressed in a vintage dress from '60s designer Ossie Clark, while the recovering from swine-flu Rupert was captured in a traditional black and white suit with a touch of pink in his belt.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, the 20-year-old shared on how problematic it was to keep a straight face during the shooting.
"The hardest things for me are intimate scenes," Grint confessed before revealing that the kissing scene with co-star Emma Watson has been done. "Kissing her was always going to be strange. We've known each other for ten years so it was a bit like kissing my sister. We were both determined to get it right the first time, but our first try was a disaster because we both felt so self-conscious we couldn't stop laughing."

Aside from the photo, Cave was recently interviewed by LA Times about her role as Hermione's roommate-turned-romantic-competitor. "She is incredibly dominating of Ron," part of her interview read. "She just wants to be around him all the time, and she's the one who initiates everything. She's one of those girls that's very pretty and very obvious, she's just not really aware of how she's being perceived by anyone else."

"As I've known Emma for so long, I reckon it will be 10 times worse," the actor who plays Harry Potter's best friend, Ron Weasley, shares on what he thinks of the kissing scene he reportedly is expected to film with the 18-year-old sometime in February. He then continues, "I really love the seventh book, but there is no way it will be tame with the Hermione stuff."

When I first read this first book which wasn't called "The Sorcerer's Stone" it was called "Harry Potter and Philosopher's Stone" in England, I most certainly had no idea that we'd be standing here having made five films and Dan, Rupert and Emma would be honored in this amazing way by putting their hands, feet and, yes, their wands in this place. This tradition goes back to 1929 I believe, and it's an amazing, amazing thing, so we're all really excited."

Following the tremendous box office records for the previous series, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", the coming "Harry Potter" is going to be converted into IMAX's format. The IMAX version is released simultaneously with the conventional theater on July 13, 2007.
