In one pic, debuted on the publication's site, Ricky is shown carrying his boys, named Matteo and Valentino, on both of his hands while standing on a sea side.
In an exclusive interview with People, he says he's "so happy" with the arrival of the boys. "Everything they do, from smiling to crying, feels like a blessing. Being a father feels amazing. This has been the most spiritual moment in my life," he admits.

Confirming the arrival of the twins, a representative for Martin revealed to People "In recent weeks, Ricky Martin became a proud father by the birth of twin sons." The representative furthermore said, "The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky's full-time care" adding that "Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children."

Among the many names mentioned there are the likes of Brooks & Dunn, Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, Red Hot Chili Peppers and George Harrison, who are all granted Hollywood stars in the recording category.
On the Motion Pictures category, the recipients are Angela Bassett, Cate Blanchett, Stan Lee, The Munchkins (from "The Wizard of Oz"), Tim Robbins and The Westmores of Hollywood, a longtime show business makeup family.

To celebrate 30 years enrollment as a singer, Spanish singer Miguel Bose released an album titled "Papito". In a large-scale, Bose tapped several artists such as Shakira, Ricky Martin, Alejandro Sanz, Julieta Venegas, and even R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe to record duets with him.
The album that contains the remakes of his previous songs has been released in Spain and America last month. It peaked at #6 in Billboard's Latin chart and still continues ruling the top 20. Stipe who stood out among the Latinos assisted Bose in the song "Lo que hay es lo que ves".

Latin singer Ricky Martin has, during the recent taping of his first "MTV Unplugged" set in Miami, announced he would go on tour in February, beginning in Puerto Rico. Though so, he had no further details concerning that plan.
The forthcoming album, a follow up to Martin's "Life", has been slated for a November release on Sony BMG, which will coincide with Martin's being honored as Person of the Year by the Latin Recording Academy.

Ricky Martin Takes Part in Human Trafficking Fight

"More than half of trafficking victims worldwide are children, forced into pornography, prostitution and labor servitude," he said. "Human trafficking is an unscrupulous market that generates around $10 billion annually."
Thus, to support the organization's program, Martin is slated to appear in TV commercials and provide support through his nonprofit foundation, the Ricky Martin Foundation. Focused on the dangers trafficking poses to Colombian children such as sexual exploitation, the commercials will begin airing next year. In addition to that, the organization also will publicize a new telephone hot line that provides assistance and information about trafficking in the country, the Geneva-based IOM said.

"Life," which is slated for an October 11 release date via Columbia, is aimed to reconnect Martin with his fans as he delves into new musical styles. "I hope I'm not the same artist I was five years ago, because it would be impossible," so says Martin. "Life -- where it takes you, what you see, what you read -- changes you. Definitely, when I began to create for this album, the one thing I wanted was to not even attempt to do what I had already done. That's why I played with many genres I hadn't visited before, and I made them mine," he continues.
New 'Life' of Ricky Martin

The new set will among others include the video for "I Don't Care" and an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the album, from photo shoot to video shoot, with candid and revelatory commentary from the singer.
Meanwhile, there is also the album's first single "I Don't Care," features guest artists Fat Joe and Amerie, and a video for the Spanish version of the single, "Que Mas Da." In related news, Ricky also will embark on a worldwide tour that will kick off in Mexico City on November 15. He next will continue the tour through Latin America, then the United States and Europe, traveling around the world in 2006 and 2007.
