The repicients are picked up based on "the data supplied by the Nielsen Company's Broadcast Data Systems, which monitors radio airplay performance, and SoundScan, which tracks retail music sales."
Taylor Swift, whose album "Fearless" has spent more than 30 weeks on Billboard Hot 200, receives six nods followed by Michael Jackson with five and Eminem with four each. The country music beauty is listed as one of the contenders for Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Album in Pop/Rock and Country Music categories. Also, she is vying for Favorite Artist in Adult Contemporary Music.
Reba McEntire Releases 'Consider Me Gone' Music Video

In the Trey Fanjoy-directed video, the country music singer is seen drawing a wedding gown when a woman is knocking on her door and asking for advice following her fight with her boyfriend. The video gets a happy ending with the woman finally making it up with her man.
"Consider Me Gone" is premiered on October 2 in honor of CMT's Big New Music Weekend. Reba was not the only country music artist who debuted her video at the event as there were also Billy Currington who premiered "That's How Country Boys Roll", Keith Urban who came out with "Hit the Ground Runnin'", Kenny Chesney with " I'm Alive" and Tim McGraw with "Southern Voice".
2009 CMA Awards Nominations Outed, Brad Paisley Gets Most Nods
September 10, 2009 09:09:36Nomination recipients for this year's CMA Awards have been revealed at ABC's "Good Morning America" and CMT's studio in Nashville on September 9. Coming to GMA announcing the nominees were Darius Rucker and Lee Ann Womack. Meanwhile, the press conference in Nashville was hosted by Cody Alan and Alecia Davis with Randy Houser as its announcer.
Leading the nominations list was Brad Paisley who took home six kudos. He will compete in such categories as Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Music Video. Following Brad's domination were Keith Urban, Jamey Johnson, George Strait, Taylor Swift and Zac Brown Band with four nods each. Other country musicians who grabbed multiple nods include Kenny Chesney and Randy.

The clip's storyline fully reflects the song's meaning and showed a divorced couple (played by Steve and Joanna) who have to exchange the care of their children each weekend because having shared custody. Meanwhile, on the clip Reba herself, was seen singing at a park while witnessing the couple exchanging their kids.

Reba McEntire is the first entertainer ever to pick Billboard magazine's "Woman of the Year" award.
The singer and country music performer has been picked by the publication to be handed with their first "Woman of the Year" award in honor of her wide success in music, television, movies and publishing. "Reba is an inspiration to women everywhere and we are delighted to be presenting her with this award," Billboard Group editorial director Tamara Conniff said in a statement.

The 42nd annual Academy of Country Music will see Reba McEntire again, this time as the host. The event organizer had announced on March 22 that the country diva will be kept in the schedule for the May 15th night.
Commenting upon this involvement McEntire said, "I'm so flattered. I'm thrilled to be heading back to Las Vegas to help put on the greatest show in country music." For the record, McEntire has been a frequent attendee of the event as she won 11 of the awards throughout the past years. She has also received the awards' nomination 41 times.

It's been 11 years and now the country music star is back. Reba McEntire is back on track. The singer will mark her comeback to the music scene with a performance at the 2007 CMA Music festival in June later this year.
Joining McEntire will be such top country acts, as Carrie Underwood, The Wreckers, Martina McBride and Sugarland. As of this year, the CMA Music festival will be held in Nashville, Tennessee on June 7-10. Proceeds will benefit the Keep the Music Playing campaign to promote music education in local schools.

Music City, Inc. has on Monday Nov 5th held the inaugural ceremony to induct artists into the Music City Walk of Fame. The ceremony, took place at Hall of Fame Park in downtown Nashville, was presented by founding sponsor Gibson Guitar.
Among this year inductees honored are country stars Reba McEntire and Ronnie Milsap who both earned the commemorative markers. Other honorees were the world-famous Fisk Jubilee Singers, rock and roll pioneer Roy Orbison as well as late Nashville Symphony Conductor Kenneth D. Schermerhorn and Felice and Boudleaux Bryant, Nashville's first full-time songwriters.

The Music City Walk of Fame soon will place its first stars with the likes of country stars Reba McEntire and Ronnie Milsap, and the Fisk Jubilee Singers were among those chosen as the first inductees.
The walk's sponsors confirmed the news Monday Oct 16th while also mentioned posthumous recipients including Roy Orbison, songwriters Felice and Boudleaux Bryant and Nashville Symphony conductor Kenneth Schermerhorn. All the honorees will have commemorative markers placed for them in a November 5 ceremony.

Reba Goes Entirely as the Host of Family TV Awards

This is the second time for her to be on the duty after her first one in 2000.
Kaki Hinton, co-chairwoman of the Family Friendly Programming Forum, which presents the awards, claim Reba as "a great entertainer and a solid role model." Well, that's quite a strong reason behind her choosing.
