Neil Diamond Performed Terrible Gig in Ohio

Singer, songwriter, and occasional actor has been in trouble with his fans. He has disappointed them after he delivered his songs in a hoarse voice during a live performance in Ohio, Columbia on Monday, August 25.

More than 70 fans, who paid $120 for the ticket, were seen standing in line at customer service in the lobby to ask for refunds before leaving the Monday concert. The others, who stayed at the concert, stated that though having trouble with his voice, Neil still completed the concert but no statement was made that day concerning the terrible gig.

Neil Diamond Confirmed as 2008 Glastonbury Headliner

Confirmed headliner for this year's Glastonbury Festival is rock singer . According to Q4music.com, Diamond will take the prestigious Pyramid stage on Sunday, June 29.

The site also revealed that duo Hot Chip will also be there to perform at the festival that takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset, again on June 27 to 29. Unconfirmed act which has been brought up are veteran singer and reggae artist Jimmy Cliff. The latter had listed his tour schedule, including a stop at the British festival.

The country star gloriously tops The Billboard 200 with his latest set, "The Road and the Radio," sold more than 469,000 copies for the week ended Sunday November 13th. This is the second time in 2005 that Chesney tops the chart, while also becoming his fourth straight number-one debut.

Opens at No. 2 on the chart is the soundtrack for rapper 's new movie, entitled "Get Rich or Die Tryin"' sold nearly 317,000 copies. Days ago MTV cancelled its Latin America Music Video Awards ceremony, which slated to be held Thursday night in a seaside park south of Cancun. Just now, rock band has canceled two weekend concerts in Florida that include Friday's show at Centennial Park in Fort Myers and their appearance at Saturday's Biketoberfest at the new Destination Daytona complex in nearby Ormond Beach.

Diamond Release Pushed to November

's new album, which originally slated to marry the street this summer in conjunction with his U.S. tour, kicked off July 25 in Omaha, Neb, has been pushed back to November 8 release. The reason of the undertaking is to give Columbia Record, under which the yet-titled project will be released, more time to set up the album, as it is now considered one of the label's top holiday projects.

Producer Rick Rubin, whom Diamond paired with for the album, commented "We're mixing it, and it's going great. It's mostly acoustic. It's a very personal record. It's stripped-down Neil. I think you'll get to hear him in a way like you've never heard him before or like you heard him a long time ago. But I think it's different from anything you've heard from him before."

Neil Diamond is scheduled to head a tour dubbed "Live World Tour 2005" that will play at least 34 cities across the United States, with the first performance at the Qwest Center in Omaha, Nebraska, on July 25, 2005. The tour, which is promoted by AEG Live, is in continuation with longtime Diamond tour directors Sal Bonafede and Jeff Apregan.

Furthermore, the tour is held in an attempt to support Diamond's new album, which is produced by Rick Rubin and will be released this summer. To support the tour performance, Diamond will be joined by his longtime touring band, which includes a horn section and backup singers.
