October 28, 2009 09:10:26Surviving seven weeks on the dance floor, Melissa Joan Hart eventually was sent home last night on "Dancing with the Stars". The actress and her partner Mark Ballas were indeed one of the couples who earned the lowest score on the Monday, October 26 performance night. The audience vote did not manage to lift up the number, resulting in her elimination.
The show was looking at double elimination this week. Beside announcing that Hart was not qualified for the next round, the show also put Louie Vito and Michael Irvin on the dance off. Bruno voted for Vito while Carrie and Len voted for Irvin to stay. "I thought you did well at the personality part," Carrie Ann said about Irvin who reprised the Samba. Therefore, Vito is the eight dancer to be axed from the show.
'DWTS' Recap: Mya and Melissa Joan Hart Shared the Top Spot

The duo scored a total of 28 points, thanks to their lambada, which earned them an 8 from judge Len Goodman and 10 each from judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.
"My expectations are really high and I felt in the lambada I was going to get a bit more," Len expressed his disappointment toward their performance. Bruno, however, considered their dance to be an "erotic, exotic roller coaster."

The substitution resulted in generous amount of 9s being drawn out from under the table. Aaron Carter and Mya each scored the triple 9 in their respective performances.
The first couple to take the stage on Monday, September 28 was Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough who did the Jive. Carrie immediately made a comment about Joanna's huge hair and her lack in footwork department. Bruno said they need to be exact with Jive and that Joanna lost rhythm sometime. Baz said they have to show more of the relationship because they got great chemistry. Score: 6-7-7, a total 20 out of 30.

As of Hart, the actress will portray the part of Trudie, a would-be painter stuck working as a waitress, whereas Lopez is set to play Clay Martin, a customer Trudie kidnapped.
