February 14, 2009 12:02:31Lil Mama has released a music video for "Truly in Love", the single off her first studio album "VYP: Voice of the Young People". In the newly-premiered video, she is accompanied by street dance crew Fanny Pak, taking the stage, dancing and singing the song in a black-tie event. Then, she is seen approaching a hunk from audience and inviting him to join her on-stage.
"VYP: Voice of the Young People" has arrived in U.S. market since March 29. Produced by T-Pain, Dr. Luke and The Runners among others, it only reached number 25 on Billboard Hot 200, selling 19,000 copies in its first week in stores.

Lil Mama has released a debut album "VYP: Voice of the Young People" since April 2008. The album debuted at number 25 on Billboard Hot 200 Albums chart, selling only about 19,000 in its first week. On the disappointing result, she blamed her label saying, "I'm very disappointed in my label, Jive Records, for not promoting my record properly."

June 24, 2008 10:06:57Female rapper Lil Mama revealed the reason why her debut album "VYP: Voice of the Young People" only debuted at #25 on Billboard chart and was only sold about 19,000 on its first week. Speaking to Rap-up.com, Mama stated that her record label was the reason behind it.
On the interview Mama said that she was disappointed with the way her label Jive Records handles her debut LP promo. "I'm very disappointed in my label, Jive Records, for not promoting my record properly. I'm not a rapper first and foremost. I'm the birth of hip-pop. I'm an innovator and everything that I do is fresh. When you have something so new and fresh in your hands, you're supposed to know what to do with it," she said.

June 21, 2008 10:06:03Female rapper Lil Mama has just premiered her new music video for the single "What It Is (Strike a Pose)" on FNMTV on Friday, June 20. For the new clip, which was being directed by R. Malcolm Jones, she also tapped T-Pain to feature on it.
The new video is a colorful one as it features some background changes from a house, streets, and a club. The scenes start at Lil Mama's house where she was seen choosing the wardrobe that she will use as she plans to go to the club. Besides that, the clip also features lots of dancing moves which were done by kids and adults.

It was previously thought to be "What It Is (Strike a Pose)" which will be made the next single from the album, "VYP: Voice of the Young People", however the video that was premiered instead was for "L.I.F.E."
The video was serviced on Wednesday, April 30, showing the teen star rapping on top of a roof while shots of people going through "life" are being played. The song as described by Mama's label Jive, is channeling female empowerment and addressing troubled youth issues.
Soulja Boy and Lil Mama Hit the Road Together
March 18, 2008 10:03:14Soulja Boy has teamed up with a fellow teen rapper who is on the verge of making her debut album available in stores. The 17 year-old rapper is getting the support from Lil Mama, 18, in a tour dubbed "21 and Under Tour".
The tour will start April 11 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. and will be stretched up to May 11 in Atlanta. Soulja is still touring in support of his debut album "SouljaBoytellem.com" while Lil Mama is promoting her upcoming debut album "VYP: Voice of the Young People". They will also be accompanied by rapper V.I.C..

The futuristic clip, bears almost resemblance to Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson's 'Scream' video, was directed by renown director R. Malcolm Jones. It was premiered on BET's Access Granted and will receive another premiere on Yahoo! Music today (January 31).

Of what becoming a tradition, Lil Mama has landed a remix of the song that is hot on the chart. If previously she collaborated with Avril Lavigne in 'Girlfriend' remix, the 18-year-old rapper has now remixed Britney Spears' hot track 'Gimme More'.
Lil Mama added the rapping in front of the song while the first chorus is kept in Britney's original voice, much like she did to Rihanna's 'Umbrella' remix.

Done with 'Lip Gloss', rapper Lil Mama is set to launch her second single 'Tour Bus (G-Slide)'. The song has been played in several radio outlets and its music video has just been premiered on Yahoo! Music on Friday, August 31.
'Tour Bus (G-Slide)', is taken from her upcoming debut album 'Voice of the Young People' which is slated to arrive October 22 via Jive. The Dr. Luke's produced song samples on the beat of children nursery rhyme 'The Wheels on the Bus'.
