April 20, 2009 01:04:57Lacuna Coil are gearing up to release new studio album "Shallow Life" across America on April 21. Prior to the album's release, they have debuted "Spellbound", the first single off the record, during 2009 Australian Soundwave Festival in February. A month later, a music video for the song was premiered.
Commenting on what the new album is all about, vocalist Cristina Scabbia says it "is [about] a natural metamorphosis from within the band." She continues, "We explored different musical territories while maintaining our own style. A mix of old and new, fast and slow and light and dark."
Lacuna Coil Debut 'Spellbound' Music Video
March 27, 2009 01:03:00A music video aimed to promote Lacuna Coil's new single "Spellbound" has been released. Newly premiered on ArtistDirect, the video was directed by Saku and filmed at the Dolce & Gabbana Gold restaurant in Milan, Italy.
The location provides perfect atmosphere to express "Shallow Life" theme they want to bring in the video. Everything is really shiny and "bling bling" while the band perform in the middle of a golden room full of mirrors and giant chandeliers.
The Lineup for the Annual Ozzfest

The annual Ozzfest hard-rock tour is coming and names included in the lineup slated to perform at the event have also been announced. Ozzy Osbourne is one among many who has been tapped to perform for 10 shows. The singer will be teamed up with such musicians as System of a Down, Disturbed, Hatebreed, Lacuna Coil and another major act to be announced on May 23.
The tour, begins July 1 in San Francisco, will play at least 20 cities. Some other musicians slated to perform include Black Label Society, Atreyu, Unearth, Bleeding Through, Norma Jean, A Life Once Lost, Strapping Young Lad, The Red Chord, Full Blown Chaos, All That Remains and Between The Buried And Me.
