Kenny Chesney Will Duet With Dave Matthews at 2009 CMA Awards
October 20, 2009 03:10:54Kenny Chesney will be partnering with Dave Matthews for a live performance at this year's Country Music Association Awards. They will deliver their rendition of "I'm Alive" which appears in Kenny's 2008 studio album "Lucky Old Sun".
Another duet performance which has been confirmed by the event organizers is an on-stage collaboration between Vince Gill and DAUGHTRY. Vince is scheduled to share the stage with the band in a joint track called "Tennesse Line".

"From video to video, we really try to capture the song's feeling," Kenny says during an occasion when explaining about the concept of the video. "If you can capture a song's vibe in the video, then I think you've served the songwriters, the singer, but especially the fans. Because everyone has their personal movie of what a song should be - and you don't want to ruin that. But I'd say with 'Out Last Night', Shaun captured a night that everybody would want to be a part of."

Announced by Julianne Hough, Kellie Pickler, LeAnn Rimes and Jessica Simpson, it was revealed that Brad Paisley and Heidi Newfield both led the pack with six and four counts respectively.

"I'm going to take that same approach in developing a high-quality rum product with Constellation. Don't get confused for Kenny Chesney has set all the record straight. The country music recording artist turns down gay rumors which first sparked when her estranged wife Renee Zellweger cited "fraud" as the reason for annulling their brief 2005 marriage.
In an interview to air Sunday Feb 18th on CBS' "60 Minutes," Chesney said, "It's not true. Period. Maybe I should have come out and said, `No, I'm not (gay),' but I didn't want to draw any more attention to it. I didn't have to prove to anybody that I wasn't (gay). I didn't feel like I really did."

Nielsen SoundScan has just released a revision on its data concerning report sales on the US pop album charts for the week ended Sunday Sept 24. The company's previous data, released Wednesday Sept 27th, is said to contain what it called as "anomalies," because an unidentified retailer was unable to report sales for the period.
And this just in, the latest 10 figure on the album charts. No. 1 is still Justin Timberlake with his second solo effort "FutureSex/LoveSounds" sold 228,000 units last week, up from the 217,000 originally reported. On the 2nd rank is Clay Aiken's "A Thousand Different Ways", taking in 211,000 units, up from 205,000. Stacy Ferguson's "The Dutchess" opens at No. 3 with 158,000 copies.

The pop singer, who has just made a comeback to music scene, still rules the US pop album charts, with his second solo effort "FutureSex/LoveSounds," sold 217,000 units for the week ended Sunday September 24th.
After two weeks atop the Billboard 200, the Jive Records release has now sold 903,000 copies in total. On the second position of the chart is Clay Aiken, whose covers set "A Thousand Different Ways" sold 205,000 units. Stacy Ferguson's solo debut, "The Dutchess" opens at No. 3 with 142,000 copies, just one place ahead of Kenny Chesney's "Live Those Songs Again" bows at No. 4 with 137,000.

The 41st annual Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards held Tuesday night May 23rd, 2006 saw the winning of several notable musicians. Among the many winners at the prestigious event, there was Brooks & Dunn who nabbed two awards all at once, one of which was for Vocal Duo category while the other one was for Song of the Year for "Believe".
