September 19, 2008 02:09:14Walt Disney Pictures have thrown a unique celebration for the world premiere of "Beverly Hills Chihuahua". On Thursday, September 18, the mouse house have rolled out their red carpet in front of El Capitan Theater in Hollywood to welcome celebrity guests as well as the two stars of the night, Chihuahuas Angel and Rusco.
Making special appearances at the special evening, the pair of canines posed on the red carpet with their human co-stars, Jamie Lee Curtis, the actress portraying Chloe's owner, and George Lopez, the actor voicing Papi. Angel who plays the lead character Chloe was held in Curtis' arm, while Rusco, the canine cast for Papi, was carried by Lopez.

Looks like the road is not that rocky for George Lopez to walk on. Despite the cancellation of his eponymous TV series, the funnyman has delightfully signed on to star in drama comedy "Henry Poole Is Here", constructing a really busy schedule as he has also been cast in "Swing Vote" and "South of the Border."
Consisting starry cast of Luke Wilson, Adriana Barraza, Cheryl Hines, and Radha Mitchell, pic focuses on a man, played by Wilson, who learns that he only has six weeks to live. Wanting to spend his remaining days in seclusion, he then leaves his job, fiancee, and overbearing mother to settle in a suburbia to only discover that his plan to live out his days in quiet desperation gets disrupted, thanks to his quirky neighbors.

Gathering together to accompany Kevin Costner in the cast list, Dennis Hopper, Nathan Lane, Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci, George Lopez, and newcomer Madeline Carroll have all landed deals to take part in populist comedy "Swing Vote."
While Costner has been confirmed to play an apathetic working-class single dad thrust on the world stage when the presidential election comes down to his vote, Hopper and Grammer are reported to become the Democratic candidate and Republican incumbent with Lane and Tucci potraying their respective campaign managers. Lopez, in the meantime, is billed as the local TV station manager whose town is descended upon by the political machinery of both parties.

Big names are lending their voices for Walt Disney Pictures' comedy "South of the Border." The Hollywood Reporter has brought in news stating that a handful of Latino actors consisting of Andy Garcia, Salma Hayek, George Lopez, Cheech Marin, Paul Rodriguez, Placido Domingo, Edward James Olmos, and Eddie Sotelo have all been submitted into the film's voice cast with "Lucky You" star Drew Barrymore leading the lineup.
Also starring Piper Perabo in human role, the flick follows the adventures of a pampered Beverly Hills chihuahua named Chloe as she gets lost during a vacation in Mexico and is in need of assistance from her friends to find way back home. Perabo will play Chloe's owner while the dog's voice will be provided by Barrymore.

Comedian George Lopez was honored Wednesday March 29th, 2006 with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
"I remember being 15, and walking up and down (the Walk of Fame) and dreaming about what I wanted to do and never thinking it was going to be done," the star said.
