Rod Stewart to Hit the Road With Bryan Adams' Support
February 29, 2008 01:02:11Starting from July 30, Rod Stewart will hit the road for a North American tour that promotes his 2007 release "Still the Same: Great Rock Classics of Our Time". Opening the tour is Bryan Adams who will be available for the first seven dates.
The 30-dates tour will visit outdoor amphitheaters in cities like Chicago, Toronto, Atlantic City and Atlanta. The tour will wind down August 28 in Tampa, Fla. The tickets meanwhile, will be sold starting from Saturday, March 1.

Bryan Adams is in the stage of having fresh cut tracks but no U.S. recording house to distribute the CD nor any name for it. The Canadian singer however, is taking it easy for he regards this one as a "quite personal record" that actually need not royalties.
Adams said that 12 tracks have been "coming out really well" and that "everything fits into a suitcase". Written for a couple of years during his tours, the tracks have been recorded in several countries like Denmark, Malta and Hungary. He said, "It's inevitable that some of this is gonna wear off on you. You travel around and you think about the things you do when you're traveling (and) it's going to wear off on what you write about."

After an alleged fact that singer Bryan Adams had a brief romance with Lady Di, he was eliminated from the list of lineups commemorating the princess.
"The princes have nothing against Bryan Adams...But they want the concerts to be free from any innuendo or tittle-tattle. It was decided that it would be inappropriate for Adams to appear," a source said. The ones coming up with the decision are none other than Diana's two sons Prince William and Prince Harry who wished no excessive media attention.

In memory of the late Princess Diana, her sons William and Harry have both penned several names to perform in a concert. "We want it to represent exactly what our mother would have wanted. A church service wasn't enough. We wanted this big concert full of energy, fun and happiness. It has to be the best birthday present she ever had," William said.
Newly reunited band Take That is among lots to be asked personally by the princes. Mark Owen said in reply, "Princess Diana was such an amazing woman. I think it's lovely the princes want to do something to remember her."
