AceShowbiz - Annie Lennox has become embroiled in a scandal after a U.K. report suggested a married charity boss has left his wife and children after falling for the singer. The former "Eurythmics" star, who is also a philanthropist, met South African gynecologist Dr. Mitch Besser two years ago through his AIDS charity Mothers2Mothers.
Besser's marriage to Debra, who he shares two teenage sons with, was reportedly already over at the time but after falling for Lennox he decided to move out of the family home in Cape Town, reports Britain's The Sun.
A source tells the publication, "Annie and Besser became close throughout last year. It's now serious. Annie didn't set out to hurt Debra but understandably there's some upset. Lennox, who appears in video footage on Besser's charity website, has been married twice and has two daughters.
