Members of the press were invited to a local AMC theater to witness a special presentation from the creative minds behind Amazon MGM’s highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Masters of the Universe. Among the attendees was Collider, which had the rare opportunity to preview about 20 minutes of never-before-seen footage from the upcoming film set to debut in theaters on June 5.
The event featured the film’s director, Travis Knight, known for his work on Bumblebee, alongside two of the movie’s leading stars, Nicholas Galitzine and Camila Mendes. The trio provided insight into the ambitious vision driving this fresh take on the beloved Mattel property.

Nicholas Galitzine takes on the role of the titular hero, He-Man, while Camila Mendes portrays Teela, He-Man’s trusted ally. Adding significant gravitas to the project, Idris Elba appears as Man-at-Arms, the skilled warrior and advisor. The villainous Skeletor is embodied by Jared Leto.
The star-studded cast continues with Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson playing Fisto, James Purefoy in the role of King Randor, and Kristen Wiig lending her voice to the character Roboto.
