AceShowbiz - Tracy Morgan, the renowned comedian and loyal New York Knicks superfan, found himself at the center of a health scare during a game between the Knicks and the Miami Heat on Monday night, March 17. The incident occurred in the third quarter, causing a 10-minute delay as arena staff attended to Morgan and cleaned up the area around his courtside seat.
According to multiple sources and eyewitness accounts, Morgan appeared to vomit on the floor while seated courtside. He was later seen being escorted out of the arena in a wheelchair, using a white towel, stained with what seemed to be blood, to address a nosebleed. Footage shared on social media captured the jarring moment.
Madison Square Garden representatives were quick to send their well-wishes. "We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside," a spokesperson told People.
Despite the unsettling scene, this isn't the first time Morgan's health has been in the spotlight. His history with severe health issues dates back several years. In 2010, Morgan underwent a life-saving kidney transplant. Two years later, he collapsed at the Sundance Film Festival due to exhaustion and altitude, jokingly referring to the incident as "Superman ran into a little kryptonite."
Morgan's most harrowing experience came in 2014, when he was involved in a near-fatal limo crash on the New Jersey Turnpike. The crash resulted in serious injuries, leaving him in a coma for two weeks and requiring a lengthy rehabilitation to relearn how to walk and talk.
Last month, Morgan made a celebrated return to the "Saturday Night Live" studio for the show's 50th anniversary. Reflecting on his miraculous comeback in 2018, SNL creator Lorne Michaels said, "The accident was when everybody realized how much they care about him. It was somebody we didn't want to lose."
Despite his numerous health challenges, Morgan has remained a steadfast presence at Knicks games, attending his first game in 1981 and maintaining his loyalty through the years.
After the game that night, Knicks star Josh Hart also extended his well wishes to the comedian, stating, "We hope everything is good with Tracy Morgan, avid lifetime Knicks fan, so prayers go out to him and his health and safety."
While the exact cause of Monday night's incident remains unclear, one thing is certain: Tracy Morgan's resilience and unwavering fan spirit continue to shine through, even in the face of adversity.
Here's to hoping for a speedy recovery and seeing him back courtside soon.
