Tracy Morgan breaks his silence following a medical scare at a New York Knicks game, posting a picture from hospital while sharing update on his condition and thanking fans for support.

AceShowbiz - Comedian Tracy Morgan had his fans worried when he suffered a medical episode during a New York Knicks game against the Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden on March 17. The emergency caused a 10-minute delay in the third quarter as Morgan, 56, appeared to vomit courtside and was subsequently taken away in a wheelchair.

Just a day later, Morgan took to Instagram to thank well-wishers and share an update on his condition. "Thank you for all your concern! I'm doing ok now and doctors say it was food poisoning," he wrote, accompanying the message with a photo of himself in a hospital bed, thumb raised in reassurance.

"Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!"

Not losing his signature humor, he added, "More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court so maybe I'll have to break it out again in the playoffs 😅 #goknicks."

This incident comes a year after Morgan celebrated the 10th anniversary of a horrific crash that nearly took his life. In June 2014, his limousine was struck by a Walmart truck on the New Jersey Turnpike, an accident that killed his mentor and collaborator, James McNair.

Morgan himself suffered severe injuries, including a broken leg and a two-week coma. The comedian had to spend five months in a wheelchair and went through extensive rehabilitation to relearn how to speak and walk.

Reflecting on this near-death experience during an interview with PEOPLE in June 2024, Morgan expressed his gratitude and forgiveness, "I want to say to everyone who was in the van with me that night I love you, and we miss you, Uncle Jimmy Mac and God bless your family. And to the driver that night and his family, me and my comrades forgive you."

Last month, Morgan made a grand return to "Saturday Night Live" for its 50th-anniversary celebration, featuring in several sketches.

"This is incredible," he told actor and comedian Matt Rogers during the red carpet special, appreciating the chance to be part of such an iconic moment. "Just thank the Lord that I'm a part of this, that I survived the accident and I'm alive to be here for this."

Despite the scare at the Knicks game, Morgan seems to be in good spirits and enthusiastic as ever. His capability to find humor in the midst of emergencies continues to endear him to fans around the world.
