AceShowbiz - Tracy Morgan has set the record straight on his statement about the result of him consuming Ozempic. Despite claiming that he gained 40 pounds while using the drug, the "30 Rock" star admitted that it "did great" by him.
In a new interview published on Thursday, March 28, the 55-year-old comedian made a clarification about his previous remark on Ozempic. When making an appearance at the Garden of Laughs Comedy Benefit in New York City one day prior, he spoke to E! Online, "That was just a joke."
Tracy went on to spill his thoughts on the Type II diabetic drug, which was used by many famous figures to lose weight. He gushed, "Ozempic did great by me and I was glad to use it." He further explained, "I take Ozempic every Thursday. It cuts my appetite in half," before joking, "Now I only eat half a bag of Doritos."
The clarification came after the actor shocked the public with his statement about the result of consuming Ozempic. In a March episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", he shared his experience using the drug for weight loss. Speaking to host Jimmy Fallon, he revealed a surprising twist, "I've learned to out-eat Ozempic. I gained 40 pounds."
Aside from the two interviews, Tracy talked about using Ozempic in other chats, including one on the "Today with Hoda & Jenna" show. In the August 14, 2023 episode of the TV program, he vowed to not let the drug go. At that time, hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager brought up the topic about him working on his body and health before he confirmed that he has been using it.
In response, the "Cop Out" actor candidly shared, "That's how this weight got lost. I went and got a prescription and I got Ozempic." He then declared, "And I ain't letting it go," prompting the two hosts to burst into laughter.
