The Mother Monster proves once again why she's a force in the music industry, as her latest album 'Mayhem' debuts at Number One on the Billboard 200, setting new streaming records for the star.

AceShowbiz - Lady Gaga's newest album "Mayhem" took the chart by storm, debuting at the top of the Billboard 200 with 219,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S., according to Luminate. This marks Gaga's seventh time achieving the Number One position on this prestigious chart.

"Mayhem" represents Gaga's largest debut via streaming in her career, with the album generating over 108 million on-demand official streams and debuting at Number One on the Top Streaming Albums chart.

"Mayhem" has granted Gaga the biggest opening week for an album by a woman in 2025 and is the largest debut album by a woman in more than six months, since Sabrina Carpenter's "Short n' Sweet" in September 2024.

Enhancing its first-week sales were multiple physical editions of the album, including 14 vinyl variants, four CD editions, a cassette tape, and a deluxe CD box set. These efforts contributed significantly, with vinyl alone comprising 74,000 of the opening-week sales - Gaga's career-best total in vinyl sales.

The album, a collection of dance floor tracks, features previously released singles "Disease," "Abracadabra," and "Die With A Smile" with Bruno Mars. "Abracadabra," the highest-charting single from "Mayhem," was premiered in a commercial break during the Grammys, ahead of the album's March release date.

On this week's Billboard 200 chart, following Gaga's lead, Kendrick Lamar's "GNX" moves down a notch to Number Two with just over 81,000 units earned. Drake and PartyNextDoor's "$ome $exy $ongs 4 U" drops to Number Three with 79,000 units, SZA's "SOS" remains strong at Number Four with 69,000 units, and Tate McRae's "So Close to What" rounds out the Top Five with 63,000 units.

Also making an impressive debut is Blackpink member Jennie with her first solo studio album "Ruby," which enters the Billboard 200 at Number Seven, logging 56,000 units.

A mix of pop and R&B, "Ruby" includes collaborations with prominent artists like Childish Gambino, Dua Lipa, and Kali Uchis, and marks Jennie's third top 10 entry by a Blackpink member.

Lady Gaga's unwavering popularity and innovative approach continue to capture widespread attention, cementing her status as an iconic artist in the music industry.
