Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola and her husband-to-be Justin May are overwhelmed with emotions as they are preparing to be first-time parents after a challenging journey with infertility.

AceShowbiz - Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola is pregnant! The "Jersey Shore" star, 37, is expecting her first baby with her fiance Justin May. The couple broke the news in a joint Instagram post on Sunday, February 23. "We've been keeping a little secret… ✨Baby May Due August 2025✨🤰ðŸ»," the couple stated.
Reflecting on their difficult path to parenthood, the couple added, "After struggling through years of infertility, this is the absolute greatest blessing we could ever possibly ask for! We are so thrilled to finally be able to share the news of our little miracle with you all! Our hearts have never been so full of love, we can't wait to meet you baby!"
The post featured a series of heartwarming photos of the couple holding a strip of ultrasound photos and a beautifully arranged beach setup, complete with a teddy bear, balloons, daisies, and a framed sign announcing the baby.
The baby news comes nearly a year after Giancola experienced a devastating miscarriage. During a confessional in a November 2024 episode of "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation", Giancola opened up about the heart-wrenching loss she faced after a failed round of in vitro fertilization (IVF).
"This has been a very long process. It's been a lot of shots, it's been a lot of hormones," she tearfully shared. "Just the thought of even being pregnant was such a magical moment for me, and just to have that taken away - it's devastating for me."
Throughout this challenging journey, Giancola leaned on May for support. "He's so positive and uplifting," she expressed. "He's so special to me, and I just am so thankful for him. He's been by my side through this whole thing. I just love him."
May proposed to Giancola on March 16, 2024, in what was described as "the easiest question I've ever answered" by Giancola.
The announcement has been met with an outpouring of love from Giancola's friends and "Jersey Shore" co-stars. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi commented, "So so so happy for you both!!! You deserve it all my loves!!!"
