AceShowbiz - Guy Pearce has recently accused Kevin Spacey of targeting him during the making of their 1997 Oscar-winning film "L.A. Confidential". Pearce, 57, claimed in an interview that he was "young and susceptible" at the time and that Spacey's alleged behavior left him "scared."

Spacey, 65, responded to Pearce's allegations in a video uploaded on February 18. He questioned Pearce's timing and motives for speaking out, saying, "While I would have preferred not to have to play this out in the media, you obviously have your own reasons for wanting to do exactly that."

"If I did something then that upset you, you could have reached out to me then. We could have had that conversation. But instead you've decided to speak to the press, who are now, of course, coming after me because they would like to know what my response is to the things that you said. You really wanna know what my response is? Grow up."

Spacey also claimed that Pearce visited him on the set of another film after they finished working on "L.A. Confidential", indicating that their relationship was not as contentious as Pearce had portrayed.

"Did you tell the press that too? Or does that not fit into the victim narrative you have going?" Spacey remarked. He stressed, "I've got nothing to hide. But, Guy, you need to grow up. You are not a victim."

Guy Pearce did say he tried to confront Spacey on multiple occasions, only to find the interactions to be "ugly."

Recounting the incident, Pearce stated, "Really I was sort of scared of Kevin because he's quite an aggressive man. He holds a room remarkably. But I was young and susceptible, and he targeted me, no question."

According to Pearce, he was not the only one that caught Spacey's eye. He remembered "the only days I feel safe are the days when [Simon Baker] is on set because I'm dumped like a hot potato, and [Kevin] focuses on [Simon] because he was ten times prettier than I am."

It was not the first time Pearce talked about Spacey's alleged inappropriate behaviors. Back in 2018, he described the "House of Cards" alum as "a handsy guy," before later clarifying, "I addressed and handled the situation when it took place, hence my regret at making it public now."

Looking back, he has since regretted downplaying Spacey's alleged misconduct. "I don't want him to get away with what he gets away with," he explained. "I just try to be more honest about it now and call it for what it is."

Spacey has faced multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, some of which he has been cleared of in court. He has also spoken out about losing his home due to debt from legal bills. Making his stance clear on Pearce's allegations, Spacey said, "I've got nothing to hide. But, Guy, you need to grow up. You are not a victim."
