AceShowbiz - Lil Baby is kicking off 2025 with a bang, announcing plans to release two albums in rapid succession. The first album, titled "WHAM", is set to drop on January 3, while the second album, "Dominique", is scheduled for February.
"WHAM" has been described by Lil Baby as more upbeat and aggressive in sound. The album cover, released on Friday, December 20, features a striking minimal design with Lil Baby's silhouette barely recognizable against a black backdrop, his jewelry distinguishing his outline.
The album boasts an impressive lineup of features, including Travis Scott (II), 21 Savage, Future, Rod Wave, GloRilla and Young Thug. Young Thug's appearance is particularly notable given his recent release from prison following a lengthy criminal trial.
Lil Baby has worked with all three of these artists in the past, and the results have been excellent. Scott, Savage and Future all bring different vibes to the table, and fans are eager to hear how their sounds mesh with Lil Baby's.
GloRilla and Rod Wave are also highly anticipated guests on the upcoming album. Lil Baby has not collaborated with GloRilla before, but she has broken out in a major way in 2024, along with Rod Wave. Rumors of a romantic link between Baby and Glo have been denied by both parties, but fans hope for some chemistry on their song, "Redbone."
The second album, "Dominique," is said to be more personal in nature, according to Lil Baby's interview with Lil Yachty. No specific release date has been announced yet.
Lil Baby's upcoming albums promise to be major events in the hip-hop calendar, and fans are eagerly anticipating the rapper's return to the music scene.
