Despite dismissal of charges, the 66-year-old actor claims the truth 'has never been told' about the fatal incident that occurred on the set of the Western film.

AceShowbiz - Alec Baldwin, star of the Western film "Rust", has stated that the story surrounding the fatal shooting that occurred in October 2021 has yet to be fully told. Baldwin made this claim during an interview on David Duchovny's "Fail Better" podcast.

Baldwin believes that the mainstream media has intentionally suppressed stories that could exonerate him and amplified those that have damaged his reputation. He has hinted that upcoming legal filings will shed light on the incident, stating, "We have more shit that's going to come out."

Baldwin fired a prop gun that contained a live round on the day of the shooting, injuring director Joel Souza and killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. He maintains that he never pulled the trigger. The investigation initially focused on armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who was charged with evidence tampering and sentenced to prison.

However, a grand jury indicted Baldwin in 2023, and the case was unexpectedly dismissed in July. Baldwin's attorneys claim that the prosecution and Santa Fe sheriffs concealed evidence that favored his defense.

Despite the dismissal, Baldwin believes that some in the industry have ostracized him, making him feel "invisible." However, he is optimistic that the truth will emerge and that he will be able to resume his work.

Baldwin expressed his relief at the dismissal of charges but also acknowledged the benefits of not having a full trial due to the lack of clarity it has provided. He intends to continue his efforts to reveal the true events surrounding the "Rust" shooting and believes that he will soon be exonerated.
