AceShowbiz - Safaree Samuels is hitting back at accusations of being a "deadbeat dad." Shutting down the claims, the rapper is opening up about his co-parenting situation with ex Erica Mena during his appearance on "All Things Keyshia Ka'oir".
"I want it to be like okay if it's Fridays I pick them up from school, then Monday's I bring them back to school and then it's like okay that's what it's going to be," Safaree explained to host Keyshia Ka'oir. He additionally admitted that he's bothered by the length of time since he's seen his two children.
Denying the "deadbeat dad" allegations, the "Love & Hip Hop: Miami" star noted, "I really don't let it to get me, because I know what's really going on and you know, deadbeats ain't paying what I'm paying in lawyer fees."
He continued, "It's so expensive and I hate it so much and I just want it to be black and white, 'hey look, let's just let it be this.' The only people that are benefiting from this are the lawyers."
Safaree additionally addressed his appearance at Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday 2 World Tour" event in Miami that went viral. "I'm not a jealous person. I'm not no hater, 'cause I'm still doing good I don't gotta worry about nothing. I don't need you for nothing."
Safaree made headlines back in October as he was spotted attending his ex's show and even documented his experience in a vlog. The vlog saw him excitedly dancing and rapping along to his former girlfriend's songs during the concert. "Gag City, it was real," he said at one point.
Reflecting on his experience at the show, Safaree shared, "I just wanna say, wow - what a night. I'm not gonna lie, it was like one of those full circle moments. It was just like a proud feeling." He continued, "I'm happy for Nicki. I'm proud. We don't have to be friends - we don't have to be cool. I just have to know how I feel about everything that's going on with her, her life, where she's at."
