AceShowbiz - Safaree Samuels apparently thinks that his child support payments are too burdening. The "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star reportedly requested the judge to lower his child support payments for his kids whom he shares with ex Erica Mena.

Obtained by In Touch, legal documents claimed that the couple reached a divorce settlement back in 2022. However, Safaree recently filed a petition in Georgia court back in June 2023 to reduce his payments of $4,305 per month.

The rapper stated in his petition that he no longer makes $61,000 per month because he's not a full-time member of the "LHH: Atlanta". He also claimed that his bookings have slowed down after Erica slammed him on social media, calling him a "dead-beat" to her 6 million followers.

He additionally pointed out significant change in circumstances regarding the custodial arrangement, noting that he typically keeps his children for 3 - 4 weeks at a time instead of the 12 days prescribed.

Upon catching wind of the news, Internet users had so much to say. "This is bum behavior. That's for 2kids. Choose your baby daddy wisely," a critic said in an Instagram comment. "That amount is for 2 kids though he got it easy, why is he complaining," another noted.

"2k per child a month as a celebrity is really the bare minimum better be grateful before they do you like Tyrese," another added, seemingly referring to Tyrese Gibson. One other said, "It's CHILD support. He act like he's sending he $400,000 a month! Boy, sit DOWN, GROW UP, and pay up!!! Those kids deserve a lavish lifestyle you portray to have, also!"

Some others, meanwhile, blasted Safaree for asking the adjustment after attending his ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj's concert earlier this month. "Didn't he just pay 10k to go see Nicki Minaj at Gag City with bodyguards???" one asked. Similarly, another commented, "But had money to see a concert??????? I'm donnneeeeeeeee." Someone else, on the other hand, said that Nicki "dodged a bullet" after their split.
