AceShowbiz - Chris Rock's brother Tony Rock has weighed in on Chris' controversial behavior at a private event over the weekend. In a new interview, Tony suggested that Chris had every right to storm out of the event in the middle of his stand-up comedy set.
When met with a TMZ reporter at LAX, Tony was asked about the matter. "I guess some dude was filming your brother's set and he was like, 'I'm not having it.' He walked off in Australia," the reporter told Tony, who is a comedian himself. "He was doing some CEO's birthday party extravaganza thing."
Further filling Tony in, the photographer continued, "He goes up, he's doing his set and the dude starts filming. ... He had some words and then walked off and it's like going around the Internet now. But my question is this, haven't people realized they're filming people's comedy sets don't work."
Tony responded, "He probably thought - because my brother was performing at some big wig in Australia and since he was invited to the party, he was entitled to take the set." He added, "But just so you guys know, everybody that does that in a comedy show is a f**king a**hole."
"We're working on material all the time. So you record it and he put it up before the joke is perfected. It's like a chef giving you a plate of food before it's finished. It's like buying a car before they're done making it. You should wait for the finished product," Tony further ranting. "But that guy probably felt entitled because he's a piece of s**t. And he said, 'I'm gonna record the set because I'm at this party. I was invited and you're performing here."
"Of course, they're always gonna separate the talent, especially when it's black and white. They're gonna think they're entitled to just do whatever they wanna do because you're black and you're working there. … That guy is d**k," he concluded.
Chris recently faced backlash after he reportedly "stormed out" of a set at billionaire Anthony Pratt's Christmas party. The funnyman allegedly yelled at the audience for breaking a previous agreement not to film his set. Chris was eventually replaced by Keith Urban, who performed songs for an hour and a half, as the comedian never returned to the stage.
