'Evil Dead' fans have reason to rejoice as the franchise is expanding with two new spin-offs in development from filmmakers Sebastien Vanicek and Francis Galluppi.

AceShowbiz - "Evil Dead" enthusiasts were thrilled to learn earlier this year about an exciting new spin-off being developed by filmmaker Sebastien Vanicek. Following the success of last year's "Evil Dead Rise", Vanicek took to social media to reveal the title of his upcoming project, "Evil Dead Burn", and teased a 2026 release date. While the exact storyline and casting details remain under wraps, the title has sparked speculation about whether "Evil Dead Burn" could offer clues about the setting of the new horror adventure.

Much like last year's "Evil Dead Rise" director Lee Cronin, Vanicek was handpicked by the original "Evil Dead" creator Sam Raimi. In a previous interview with ComicBook, Vanicek shared insights into his vision for the film, explaining, "The first thing [Sam Raimi and his team] asked me was, 'What would be your 'Evil Dead?' ' And there was the word 'your,' so that was like, 'Yeah, that gives me some artistic freedom,' and I think I understood what's 'Evil Dead' and I was like, 'Okay, if this is 'Evil Dead', I will do this and that because I want to explore this and that.' " He added that his approach would strive to balance the franchise's traditional crazy, shocking elements with a more realistic, hard-hitting narrative.

But that's not all. Last month brought another surprise for fans as filmmaker Francis Galluppi was also announced to be working on his own "Evil Dead" adventure. Promoting his recent film "The Last Stop in Yuma County", Galluppi expressed his love for the franchise and how it had inspired him throughout his career. "All I can really say is how much of a fan I am of 'Evil Dead' and how much I really care about this franchise. It truly is one of the movies that made me want to make movies. I'm not just saying that," Galluppi confirmed with ComicBook.

Galluppi's deep admiration for all entries in the franchise is evident. "I think that it's a perfect ... they have not f**ked up any of the movies. They're all great, and I love them all for my own reasons," he explained. His new project is expected to draw from various influences within the franchise while providing a unique and captivating experience for fans. Though details about his upcoming Evil Dead spinoff remain sparse, Galluppi's excitement and passion for the series are palpable.

Fans have more than one reason to be excited about the future of the "Evil Dead" franchise. With Vanicek's innovative "Evil Dead Burn" and Galluppi's yet-to-be-titled venture, along with hints of Bruce Campbell's potential return on an animated series, the beloved horror series appears to be heading into an exhilarating new era. Stay tuned for more updates, as these projects promise to deliver the spine-chilling thrills that have made "Evil Dead" a timeless classic.
