Created and showrun by 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' writer Steven Conrad, 'DTF St. Louis' is a darkly comedic limited series about a love triangle that leads to murder.

AceShowbiz - HBO has greenlit "DTF St. Louis", a seven-episode limited series starring and executive produced by Jason Bateman and David Harbour. The series is created and showrun by Steven Conrad, who has also written, directed and executive produced.

The darkly comedic series follows a love triangle among three adults experiencing middle-age malaise, which leads to one of them ending up dead. Harbour and Bateman will play two of the three adults involved in the love triangle.

The project evolved from the previously announced "My Dentist's Murder Trial", which was inspired by the James Lasdun New Yorker article of the same name. However, the series is now based on an original idea and has no connection to the original article.

In addition to Harbour and Bateman, the series will also feature Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch for Escape Artists; Molly Allen; Bruce Terris; Michael Costigan for Aggregate Films; Kristina Wenson for Bravo Axolotl; Lasdun; and MGM Television as executive producers.

"We are tremendously excited to work with the brilliant auteur Steve Conrad, whose singularity of vision lies central to all his work as a storyteller," said Francesca Orsi, EVP, HBO Programming, Head of HBO Drama Series and Films. "With David Harbour and Jason Bateman at series center, two masterful titans in their own right, we couldn't be more emboldened by the journey ahead and look forward to sharing this special, emotionally provocative piece with the world come time."

Bateman is a two-time Emmy winner for his work on "Ozark" and "The Outsider". He will next be seen in the Netflix feature film "Carry-On" and the drama series "Black Rabbit" for Apple TV+.

Harbour stars in the Netflix series "Stranger Things" and has appeared in films such as "Black Widow" and "Black Mass". He will next be seen in Marvel's "Thunderbolts".

Conrad has created or co-created series such as "Patriot", "Perpetual Grace, LTD" and "Ultra City Smiths". He has also written films like "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty", "Wonder" and "The Pursuit of Happyness".
