Legendary singer and actress Cher has officially declared her support for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, citing her unwavering advocacy and commitment to protecting civil rights.

AceShowbiz - Music icon Cher has announced that she will cast her vote for Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, in the upcoming November election. The announcement came via a video posted on her social media accounts on Friday night, October 18.

"I have followed Kamala Harris since she was my U.S. senator," Cher said in the video. "She fought for me then, and she is fighting for all of us now. That's why I'm proudly voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz."

Cher's endorsement aligns with her long-standing history of supporting Democratic candidates over the decades. In a 2010 interview with Vanity Fair, she expressed her belief that Democrats had a responsibility to help people in need. "I would be willing to pay a lot more taxes, because I make a lot more money, but I don't want to give them more to just f*ck things up more," she said.

Cher's support for Harris is part of a growing wave of endorsements from celebrities, including Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Bruce Springsteen and Marc Anthony. During the Democratic National Convention, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, and other artists performed in support of the vice president.

In a separate video, Cher expressed her frustration with Republican candidate Donald Trump and his policies, particularly those targeting transgender rights. She emphasized the importance of standing together to protect the rights of marginalized communities. "I know they will fight to protect our rights," Cher said of Harris and Walz. "I'm so grateful to be able to make my voice count this year. I hope you will too."
