AceShowbiz - It was an outing gone wrong. Portland chef Naomi Pomeroy died from accidental drowning when she and her husband Kyle Webster were visiting a friend in Corvallis on July 13. At the time, the trio hit a snag as they floated on the Willamette River.
According to reports, Naomi and Kyle were sitting in two inner tubes while their friend Hands Hlawaty was on a paddleboard, which was attached to Naomi's ankle. Naomi's and Kyle's tubes, meanwhile, were attached with a rope. After hitting a snag, Naomi was seen struggling under the water as the current was too strong. After days of search, Naomi's body surfaced on river bedrock around 10 A.M. on July 17 about a half-mile north of Hyak Park, just west of Albany.
