Brantley Gilbert Shares Details of 'Wonder Woman' Wife Giving Birth to Baby Boy on Tour Bus

The 'Country Must Be Country Wide' hitmaker recalls his wife being 'understanding' for giving him her blessing to finish his show after the birth of their son.

AceShowbiz - Brantley Gilbert has shared the details of his wife giving birth on a tour bus. The country rock singer recalled how Amber Cochran Gilbert went into labor during the middle of his concert in Tupelo, Mississippi.

On Monday, October 14, the 39-year-old artist from Jefferson, Georgia and his wife had an interview with TMZ to talk about the arrival of their third child. Sitting alongside her, he began by showering her with praise, "This woman is the real rock star of the family."

Brantley went on to say, "And I tell you man, God seeing fit to bless me with her is the best thing that ever happened to me. She's a warrior, man. It's a crazy situation." He then recounted, "Her due date was the end of the month. We had an idea things might happen a little earlier so we were prepared."

"The night before this happened, it was the best night she'd had in days," the "Country Must Be Country Wide" hitmaker continued. "She slept all night. Some signs were less and less. So we thought we had at least another week, maybe two."

While smiling from ear-to-ear, Brantley explained, "When he initially grabbed me onstage, I thought it may have been a security threat. But quickly after, my tour manager kind of, very intently, kind of pulled me towards him and he was like, 'Baby!' And when he said baby, we all just took off running."

The singer/songwriter further elaborated, "And I got on the bus, washed my hands really quick and the minute I knelt beside her things started happening. It was amazing, man. I got to catch my son and hand him to the wonder woman that brought him into the world," prompting Amber to laugh.

Brantley additionally shared that Amber gave him her blessing to finish the concert following the birth of their son. "The minute it happened my tour manager came up and he said, 'Man, I know this sounds crazy but if we go on within 15 minutes, we can finish,' " he recalled. Of her response, he said, "She looked at me and just understanding and said, 'You need to go finish.' "
