Sean Evans' popular YouTube show has been trying to secure the wrestler-turned-actor as a guest for years, but his peculiar request might be holding things up.

AceShowbiz - Dwayne Johnson, known as "The Rock" to WWE fans, has yet to appear on the popular YouTube talk show "Hot Ones", despite being approached multiple times by host Sean Evans. According to Evans, during negotiations, Johnson's team made a peculiar request: to replace the show's signature chicken wings with grilled salmon strips.
"We've been pitching [Johnson] for years, and one time we got a note back that said, 'Would you be willing to do grilled salmon strips instead of wings?' " Evans said. "In my head, that had to come from his mouth."
The request did not lead to a deal, leaving Evans to reflect on the close call, "That's as close as we've gotten. And then it fell through."
"Hot Ones", known for its spicy chicken wings and candid interviews, has featured numerous A-listers, including Lorde, Paul Rudd, DJ Khaled, Tyra Banks and Ariana Grande. Evans has also expressed his desire to have Howard Stern on the show as a dream guest.
While chicken wings are the staple food on "Hot Ones", Evans has reduced their consumption outside of work, opting for healthier options such as juice, cereal and salads.
