AceShowbiz - Even worldwide superstar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson had his work cut out for him when it came to getting tickets to Taylor Swift's sold-out Eras Tour. In a candid interview with Entertainment Tonight, Johnson opened up about how he had to “pull strings” for the first time in his career to get tickets for a good friend.
"It's never happened in my career. Usually, I don't have to pull strings. Usually, I'll just … I just make it happen," Johnson, 52, admitted, reflecting on the unique difficulty of securing the passes. "In this case, it was for a good friend of mine who was like, 'Please. Taylor. Last concert.' I'm never good at asking for that kind of stuff. I'm good at giving it. Hate asking for stuff. I don't do it."
Thankfully, one small call to Taylor Swift did the trick. "[We got] tickets … [my friend was] happy. I got the picture of the happy ladies who were there. I appreciate that about Taylor," he revealed.
Several A-listers, including Tom Cruise and Prince William, have attended various concerts on Swift's Eras Tour, which began in March 2023 and will conclude in Vancouver, Canada, on December 8.
Johnson's daughters, 8-year-old Jasmine and 6-year-old Tiana, are huge fans of Swift. "We love Taylor. We love Beyonce Knowles. Tia, our littlest one, we call her Teyoncé," Johnson said. Jasmine and Tiana will even voice characters in the upcoming "Moana 2" alongside their father, who reprises his role as Maui.
