AceShowbiz - Season 26 of "The Voice" kicked off with new faces among the coaches. Airing on Monday, September 23, the first night of Blind Auditions welcomed Snoop Dogg and Michael Buble as the new coaches, joining returning vets Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani.
During the Blind Auditions, each coach would pick 14 artists to be put on their teams as the four of them would be given a block. The new season also featured "The Coaches Replay", which would allow coaches to hit their button after an artist is done singing.
Performing first that night was Jake Tankersley, who chose to sing Zach Bryan's "Something in the Orange". Upon hearing Jake's moody guitar intro, Gwen and Snoop quickly hit their button with Gwen blocking Reba. Eventually, Jake went to Team Snoop.
Sofronio Vasquez followed it up with a performance of "I'm Going Down" by Mary J. Blige. Everyone seemed to be impressed by his riffs and runs as the hopeful got 4-chair turns within 25 seconds. Reba called Sofronio the "whole package," while Gwen likened it to a "Grammy performance." Sofronio decided to join Team Michael.
Later, Jan Dan hit the stage to sing "Almost Doesn't Count" by Brandy. Michael and Gwen turned for Jan. Gwen told Jan that she could help him with stage presence. Snoop and Reba also encouraged Jan to pick Gwen and in the end, he did go to Team Gwen.
Ravs then sang Doja Cat's "Say So", but unfortunately no one turned. As for Danny Joseph, he picked "I Put a Spell on You" by Screamin' Jay Hawkins as his Blind Auditions song. That earned him a four-chair turn, though Snoop blocked Michael. Eventually, Danny chose to be on Team Reba.
Singing "I've Got You Under My Skin" by Frank Sinatra was Ben Fagerstedt, but it wasn't enough to get him any turn from the coaches. Torre Blake, on the other hand, hoped to impress the coaches with his rendition of "On & On" by Erykah Badu. Gwen and Snoop turned for Torre, who later chose Team Snoop.
Kendall Eugene performed next, singing "Don't Think Jesus" by Morgan Wallen. While it was such an emotional performance, no one turned. However, Reba decided to use her "Replay" button to save Kendall, putting him on her team.
Later, Kiara Vega took the stage to sing "Amor Eterno", which was her grandfather's favorite song. All coaches except for Gwen hit their buttons because she noticed some pitch issues in Kiara's performance. Kiara, whose family is Puerto Rican, shared interest with Michael as her wife is from Argentina. Unsurprisingly, Kiara chose Team Michael.
Chrisdeo sang "I Won't Give Up" by Jason Mraz. Michael and Snoop turned for the high school student, making her cry. That prompted Gwen and Reba to take the stage to hug her. In the end, Chrisdeo went to Team Snoop.
Concluding the night, Sydney Sterlace then offered a powerful rendition of Olivia Rodrigo's "Driver's License" that blew the coaches' minds. She easily earned a four-chair turn before she eventually went to Team Gwen.
