AceShowbiz - Incarcerated Sean "P. Diddy" Combs has "briefly" spoken to his children following his arrest. The embattled music mogul, who has been held behind bars without bail, has reportedly spoken to his seven kids via phone from jail.
The rapper, who was previously said to be worried and concerned about his kids in the wake of his arrest, has "been able to speak briefly to family members and his children via phone," according to a source with knowledge of the situation, per PEOPLE's report.
"He is very concerned about his kids and their well-being," the so-called insider says. "He has three minor children, two of whom now have no living parent available with him incarcerated. Four of his seven children have neither parent available with him incarcerated."
A second insider close to the family says that the Combs kids are "in a state of crisis and shock" following their father's arrest. "It's heartbreaking to see the children in the state they're in," the source says. "This is their father. But to them, he's not Diddy - he's Dad. He has always been a loving, devoted father."
Diddy shared Christian a.k.a. King Combs, Jessie and D'Lila with late model Kim Porter, who died in 2018. He also adopted Kim's son Quincy, whom she had with singer Al B. Sure!.
Justin is Diddy's son with stylist Misa Hylton, while Chance is Sarah Chapman's daughter. His youngest child Love was born to Dana Tran in October 2022.
During Diddy's arraignment in a New York City court on September 17, during which he pleaded not guilty, his son King was seated in the third row, and was seen reading a copy of the 14-page indictment against his father. When the judge ruled that the star would be held without bail prior to his trial, Diddy turned to where King and his family were seated and put his hand on his heart.
Diddy's sons Justin, King and Quincy were also seen outside courthouse in Manhattan, New York City after their father was denied bond for the second time.
During the arraignment, Diddy's attorney Marc Agnifilo said the hip-hop artist is in "treatment and therapy for things that most respectfully he needs treatment and therapy for, and he's getting that." The lawyer did not detail what exactly Diddy is in treatment for, citing confidentiality.
"He's going to fight this with all of his energy and all of his might and the full confidence of his lawyers and I expect a long battle with a good result for Mr. Combs," Marc said outside court on September 17.
A hearing for Diddy is set for October 9 at 2 P.M.
