AceShowbiz - Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd, known for their appearances on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and "Vanderpump Rules", faced a seven-figure lawsuit from their former landlord, 8948 Santa Monica Partners. The landlord accused PUMP LLC and Ken of breach of contract, promissory fraud, and conversion, claiming that they failed to pay rent, transfer the liquor license, and removed fixtures and property from the premises.
However, Ken and Lisa vehemently denied the allegations, stating that they had removed antique chandeliers that they owned, the liquor license belonged to them, and the rent had been settled with their accountants. In August 2023, the former landlord voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit, dropping all claims against PUMP LLC and Ken.
This victory comes as a relief to the couple, who endured the legal battle during the challenging COVID-19 pandemic. They have since opened a new location for PUMP within the garden area of Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz' bar, TomTom.
In a separate lawsuit, Lisa, Ken, and Pump LLC are facing accusations from a former PUMP employee for unpaid overtime wages, missed meal periods, and other labor code violations. Court documents show that the defendants have not yet paid the agreed-upon settlement amount of $490,000 in the class action lawsuit. The plaintiff alleges that the defendants have omitted the fact that PUMP has reopened at a new location, and that Ken Todd believes himself to be "above the law." The legal battle over the employee lawsuit is ongoing.
