AceShowbiz - Ray J has put Erica Mena on blast for allegedly being "racist." The R&B crooner slammed the former "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" star after dropping the N-word while dragging him, Princess Love and Brandy during a recent rant.
Taking to Instagram, Ray J shared a screen recording of Erica's Instagram Live. "Talk your s**t lil n***a," she said in the clip. "I probably wasn't supposed to say that… Stop playing with me. All of y'all motherf**kers. I'm not on that."
In the caption, Ray J fumed, "Why call me the N word! @ericamena." He added, "After the racist Monkey comment you made about black people, you just felt like you could take it to the next level and call me a N***a huh??"
"SMH …….. OK …. - when you make mistakes and take a L - you suppose to Learn from them , This is not cool - @safaree is my friend I don't get into with my peoples BM. - we shooting our own shows and living life to the fullest!!" he continued. "God bless you and Subscribe to @tronixnetwork - … why we got you so mad? Damn! We only been out 5/6months."
Last year, Erica came under fire for referring to her then-castmate Spice as a "blue monkey." Of the matter, the ex-wife of Safaree Samuels said, "I learned for the first time in all the years of reality TV that my actions have a lot more of an impact than I ever thought it had... I'm disappointed in the fact that I let down women of color."
Despite that, Erica hoped viewers could see more of Spice's behavior so they would have a better understanding of why she said the offensive words, though she was going to take "accountability" regardless. She divulged, "It was just all wrong in the choice of words."
The incident led Erica's "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" firing. "Working hand-in-hand with our partners, viewers will see the impact of Erica Mena's remarks play out in the final three episodes of the season," so read a statement from the franchise, which was shared on September 2. "Effective immediately, she will not appear in the next season of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta."
