AceShowbiz - Ben Affleck did not seem to be in good spirits during his latest outing with his child after Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from him. As his personal life keeps being put under scrutiny, the actor looked downcast when taking Fin to a movie date.

On Thursday, August 22, the 52-year-old stepped out with his middle child, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. The duo went to a movie theater in Marina Del Rey that evening to watch "Alien: Romulus".

The two-time Oscar winner looked glum with his iPhone in hand as he exited the theater. He was dressed in a blue long-sleeve shirt over a gray T-shirt, khaki pants and Nike sneakers.

In contrast to their father's mood, Fin appeared to have a good time after watching the movie. The 15-year-old flashed a smile while walking on the parking lot behind their father. The teen also cut a casual look in a white T-shirt, gray shorts, socks in mismatched colors and light blue sneakers. They carried a light blue jacket and a small bag.

Ben and Fin's movie date comes after J.Lo filed to end her marriage to the actor. She filed the divorce petition on Tuesday, August 20, coinciding the second anniversary of their wedding. In the petition, she included a request to restore her maiden name after the divorce is granted.

The estranged couple reportedly did not have a prenuptial agreement. This could lead to a battle over assets, including their $68 million Beverly Hills mansion.

Perhaps adding more pressure to Ben right now, his estranged wife is said to be giving him the "silent treatment" as she's still in disbelief that their rekindled romance ended in such a "humiliating" fashion after just two years of marriage.

Sources told RadarOnline.com, "Now Ben and J.Lo are giving each other the silent treatment. J.Lo doesn't know how it came to this. She really thought she'd finally found her happily-ever-after – and then Ben pulled the rug out from under her. She's putting up a brave front in public, but she's seething on the inside."

"The fact that he bought a new home while she was celebrating her birthday in the Hamptons was really humiliating for her," the sources added. "Plus, one day he has his ring on and the next day it's off - it's like he's gaslighting her."

"The way Ben ignored their anniversary, then her birthday, while having the tenacity to claim he's protecting her somehow... it was shocking," the so-called insiders further divulged. "It makes J.Lo sick to her stomach. People in their circle are wondering how it's gotten to this point and become so toxic."
