Just hours before the 'Atlas' star files for divorce, which also coincides with their two-year wedding anniversary, the 'Gone Girl' actor appears to be in great spirits while arriving back in L.A. with his first ex-wife.

AceShowbiz - Ben Affleck stepped out with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner on the same day Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from him. The actor looked in great spirits as he arrived back in Los Angeles with Garner on Tuesday, August 20, which also happens to be his second wedding anniversary with J.Lo.
The 52-year-old filmmaker ditched his wedding band as he made a giddy arrival back to the West Coast after he and Garner dropped their eldest child Violet at college in Connecticut. The friendly exes were joined by their middle child Fin as they stepped out of a private jet.
After getting off the plane, the threesome got in the car and left together. The two-time Oscar winner was seen driving with Garner sitting in the front seat.
Affleck wore a white shirt that was untucked with dark blue slacks and Nike sneakers. He added aviator sunglasses and had his hair cut short with a clean-shaven face as he held a beverage in a plastic cup.
Garner wore a black top with army green slacks as she appeared to go makeup free and let her brown hair down. She held onto a book and an iPad as she wore an Apple watch and carried a bag over her shoulders. She also had her glasses perched on top of her head.
Their child Fin put on a Yale sweatshirt, which could indicate where their sister Violet is going to. The school is located in New Haven, Connecticut.
Hours after the sighting, Lopez officially filed for divorce from Affleck following months of rumors about their marital woes. She filed the papers without an attorney on Tuesday, which also marks their second wedding anniversary.
In the divorce papers, the "If You Had My Love" songstress listed April 26, 2024 as their separation date. On the said date, the "Shotgun Wedding" actress was photographed in New York City, wearing a beige sweater with big sunglasses and gold hoop earrings on. She carried a black purse with her during the outing. Ten days later, she attended the 2024 Met Gala in NYC alone.
A source told PEOPLE after the divorce filing, "She tried really hard to make things work, and is heartbroken." According to TMZ, Lopez's divorce filing does not indicate there's a prenuptial agreement. She has waived her right to spousal support and requested that the judge deny any such support for Affleck.
