AceShowbiz - The drama surrounding Blake Lively has yet to end. The 36-year-old "Gossip Girl" star, who has been making headlines for her alleged past problematic behavior, was slammed for repeatedly using a transgender slur in resurfaced interviews.

On Sunday, August 18, Blake was called out on social media after a fan pointed out her offensive remark she made for her future children in a 2012 interview with Elle magazine. "sometimes ill [sic] be quietly going about my day and then ill [sic] remember the time blake lively said this to a journalist," a user posted on X.

The informant posted an image featuring the star's quote. "I hope to have a few girls one day. If not girls, they better be trannies," the person said. "Because I have some amazing shoes and bags and stories that need to be appreciated."

Upon catching wind of Blake's remark which many deemed defamatory by some members of the trans community, Internet users had mixed responses. "You just blew up the whole smear campaign with this one," one user commented. "Not Lady Deadpool…," another person added.

Some others, meanwhile, were not really critical though they believed that Blake could have said it better. "I'm actually not mad at this at all. The word was throw [sic] around a lot back in the day. If it was said today it would be problematic, but nothing is wrong w wishing for a trans child," one user posted.

Another fan said, "I get what she was trying to say because someone better appreciate all that Vintage Versace she has. But she could've used different wording."

This wasn't the first time Blake used the term. In an interview with Allure back in 2009, the wife of Ryan Reynolds said, "I feel like a tranny a lot of the time. I don't know, I'm… large? They put me in six-inch heels, and I tower over every man."

She added, "I've got this long hair and lots of clothes and makeup on. I just feel really big a lot of the time, and I'm surrounded by a lot of tiny people. I feel like a man sometimes."

The interview resurfaced online amid backlash against Blake, who was rumored to be beefing with her "It Ends With Us" co-star and director Justin Baldoni. The "A Simple Favor" star was later labeled rude after fans pointed out her icy history with her other co-stars in previous projects including Leighton Meester and Anna Kendrick.
