The Bosnian crime drama 'I Know Your Soul' has victoriously swept the drama categories at the 30th Sarajevo Film Festival, winning seven Heart of Sarajevo awards.

AceShowbiz - "I Know Your Soul", a gripping six-part crime drama, won seven Heart of Sarajevo awards including Best Drama Series, Best Directing, and most of the acting categories. Directed by Oscar-nominated Bosnian filmmaker Jasmila Zbanic, known for her work on "Quo Vadis, Aida?" and "Grbavica", the series captivated the jury with its complex storyline and compelling performances. The drama, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival last year, focuses on Nervena, a prosecutor played by Jasna DuriÄić, navigating personal and professional turmoil sparked by a teen's suicide investigation.
Jasna Duricic earned the Best Actress in a Drama for her role as Nervena, while co-stars Jelena Kordić Kuret and Mirvad Kurić won Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor, respectively. Lazar Dragojević was awarded Rising Star - Drama for his portrayal of Nervena's teenage son Dino.
Produced by Deblokada and BH Content Lab for BH Telecom, with HBO Max acquiring the series for Central and Eastern Europe, "I Know Your Soul" showcased Zbanic's exceptional narrative skills and Nermin Hamzagić's outstanding direction.
In a poignant moment, Serbian actor Zarko Lausevic was posthumously awarded Best Actor in a Drama Series for his performance in the World War I drama "Time of Death".
The comedy categories saw a fierce but friendly competition between "Smashing It" and the Serbian series "Radio Mileva," each clinching three awards. "Smashing It" took Best Comedy, Best Actor for Alen Muratović, and Best Script for writers Elma Tataragic, Dusan Vranic, and Enes Zlatar. "Radio Mileva's" Olga Odanovic won Best Actress, Elmir Jukic took Best Directing - Comedy, and Kris Gavric was named Rising Star - Comedy.
Entries for the festival were from across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia, with winners decided by a professional jury composed of over 500 film and TV experts.
