AceShowbiz - Post Malone couldn't be happier to have made his Grand Ole Opry debut. The rapper/singer, who will release his debut country album, "F-1 Trillion", soon, gushed about how grateful he was to perform for the first time at the iconic venue.
"What's going on Nashville?" the 29-year-old artist told the crowd as he joined singer-songwriter-guitarist Brad Paisley on Wednesday, August 14. "My name is Austin Richard Post and I'm here to play some songs tonight with some really amazing folks and I'm honored to call them friends."
"I'm terrified and honored to be standing right in this spot," the emcee added. "My mom's here tonight. Brad I remember going to see you [perform] when I was like six. I wanted to say how amazingly grateful and floored I am to have you bring me out tonight and I appreciate you."
Posty then performed a rendition of Vince Gill's 1993 hit "One More Last Chance", accompanied by Gill himself. The rhymer also welcomed John Michael Montgomery onstage to deliver Montgomery's 1994 hit "Be My Baby Tonight".
"I'm having the freakin' best time of my life," Posty raved about the experience. "We've been here in Nashville for a couple of months, like six or seven months, and I have made so many beautiful friends along the way. I'm so honored to be able to work with my friends."
Posty, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, also debuted a song from "F-1 Trillion" titled "Nosedive". The project itself will arrive on Friday, August 16, and feature collaborations with Brad. Other artists to appear on the set include Tim McGraw, Luke Combs, Dolly Parton, Jelly Roll, Blake Shelton, Morgan Wallen, ERNEST and Lainey Wilson.
