The NBC former Olympic swimming correspondent has shared a hilarious update on his health, following a series of mishaps that led to his departure from the Olympics.

AceShowbiz - Colin Jost sustained a foot injury on July 26 while scraping it on a coral reef in Tahiti, where he was serving as NBC's "Olympics Surfing Correspondent". Days later, he developed a staph infection and added an ear infection to his "growing list of ailments."

Despite the setbacks, Jost joked, "Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated." However, NBC announced that he had been replaced by Australian correspondent Luke Bradnam due to the severity of his injuries.

In a video update posted to Instagram, the 42-year-old joked that he had been "exiled" to the island of Malta. He quipped, "NBC simply looked at my food, declared me legally a leper, and exiled me here."

Jost also shared that he had been blowing his earnings from covering surfing in a casino and thanked the people of Tahiti for their hospitality, despite their occasional whispers of "Chupacabra!"

Despite the blow to his WikiFeet score, Jost assured his followers that his foot was "pretty much totally fine," although he declined to show it.

In addition to his Olympic coverage, Jost has taken on a headlining gig at the Fringe Festival in Rochester, New York, and is set to host the upcoming "Pop Culture Jeopardy!" spin-off on Amazon Prime Video.
